1: PROJECT 1: OTN(Optical Transport Network):
Brief Description:
OTN is a MPLS protocol based project. I had been worked with OTN project 6 month. I was
part of WIS module team. My role was to write and SC side code and its unit testing.

Responsibility : Key role in development and testing of the SC Card and CLI
interface which sends API to Line card.
2: “Signalling Layer Manager”
Brief Description:
It provides the functionality to configure Signalling nodes SGW and MGW running on flexi
platform. It supports both static and dynamic configuration of nodes using command line
Interface (CLI). Flexi platform is the NSN proprietary platform which has Linux as base
platform. It interacts with other sub systems which run on top of flexi platform like Alarm
Handler, Network Manager. This application runs on different hardware like ATCA (x86) and
BCN node (32 bit).

• Interacts with a client ( system and software architects) to create technology specifications
from business requirements for one or more modules within the project
• Translate requirements into module’s/sub-module’s design approaches with suitable data
structures and multi-process/multi-threading concepts
• Code development using C&C++, STL, Multi-threading for the implementation of the agreed
upon design approach
• Estimates the implementation and deployment of the module based on design architecture,
testing strategy and overall project planing
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, product management and
business stakeholders
• Ensure prompt and quality delivery of code and design artifacts
• Provide unit testing and support of developed applications to the highest standards

3: Signalling Gateway: Signaling Gateway and Sigtran Protocol Stack implementation to provide
efficient SS7 signaling services
Brief Description:
SGW is a node that works as a relay node for the traffic between SS7/ SIGTRAN/ ISDN
networks and the SIGTRAN network. It is a multi-threaded application which transports SS7
signalling messages from Switched circuit network to IP network using M3UA and vice-
versa. It transports Sigtran messages from RAN nodes to MSS.

Responsibility:
• Stack customization so as to make the product work both as an end node as well as
relay node in the network.
• Active Involvement in the enhancement and support of the project.
