Happy Mango is a fast-growing data-technology company innovating credit-
risk analytics. We commit significant resources to our internship programs with
the goal of preparing students to become future leaders in their desired fields.
We strive to create a supportive educational environment presenting ample
opportunities for interns to observe and solve real-world business issues. Our
partners and team members personally coach, mentor, and provide real-time
instruction, guidance and support to help interns learn about and appreciate
the realities, challenges and rewards of entrepreneurial work.

Your Achievement
At the end of the internship, students will have:
•  Significantly improved analytical, communication and overall business skills;
•  An expanded network of knowledgeable mentors and entrepreneurs; and
•  A portfolio of real-world concrete business achievements to be included in
their resumes.
During the internship, students will:
•  Work collaboratively with Happy Mango team members on a diverse set of
projects;
•  Build relationships with Happy Mango clients and partners; and
•  Attend various instructional, knowledge-sharing and networking events.

Learn
Three internships are offered as follows (dates are approximate):
•  Summer full-time: May 21 - August 21
•  Fall part-time: September 15 - December 15
•  Spring part-time: January 20 - April 20
•  Internship breaks will occur December - January and April - May for mid-term
and final exams respectively.
 
Full-Time (F/T) vs. Part-Time (P/T):
•  Full-time interns will have a designated desk at Happy Mango’s office, where
they spend approximately 40 hours per week.
•  Part-time interns will have access to Happy Mango’s office and are expected
to spend 15-20 hours per week.

Examples of projects include:
•  Working with the marketing team to conduct market research;
•  Creating lender and investor pitch decks;
•  Developing product presentations;
•  Working with the social media team to create and design new ad campaigns;
•  Drafting blog and company announcements;
•  Working with the research team to improve the risk assessment algorithm;
•  Working with the product team to optimize the user experience design;
•  Assisting with legal and regulatory research; and
•  Organizing community outreach programs.

Welcome, Fall 2014!
Day 1 Orientation
Morning :
•  Interns will meet with Happy Mango partners as a
group to discuss:
!  Internship program
!  Happy Mango’s business development objectives
!  Overall internship goals to be achieved
Lunch:
•  Get to know each other over lunch
Afternoon or Following Day:
•  Each intern will meet with Happy Mango partners
individually to discuss:
!  Individual professional goals
!  Vision regarding how to achieve those goals
!  An action plan with well-defined milestones to
measure progress toward such goals
 
Last Day Celebration
Afternoon :
•  Interns will individually present “take-aways” and
what he or she has learned.
Dinner:
•  Group celebration
Through out the internship, all students in the
program will get a chance to meet each other and all
the members on the Happy Mango team through
monthly gatherings in both formal and informal
settings.

Fall 2014 Internship Tracks
A. Marketing & Research
•  Organize community outreach programs, e.g., meet-ups;
•  Propose social media marketing campaigns;
•  Develop market research questionnaires and metrics; and
•  Interview users and potential users for product and brand feedback.
B. Product Design & Algorithm
•  Analyze macroeconomic and user data;
•  Document and refine algorithm; and
•  Work with front-end and back-end developers on enhancing product features.
C. Business Development
•  Develop investor pitch books;
•  Accompany management to meetings with banks and asset managers; and
•  Develop product presentations.
D. Self-Designed Multi-Track Program
•  Combine several tracks instead of concentrating on a single one

We commit significant resources to our internship programs with the goal of preparing students to become future leaders in their desired fields. We strive to create a supportive educational environment presenting ample opportunities for interns to observe and solve real-world business issues. Our partners and team members personally coach, mentor, and provide real-time instruction, guidance and support to help interns learn about and appreciate the realities, challenges and rewards of entrepreneurial work.

Your Achievement At the end of the internship, students will have: •  Significantly improved analytical, communication and overall business skills; •  An expanded network of knowledgeable mentors and entrepreneurs; and •  A portfolio of real-world concrete business achievements to be included in their resumes. During the internship, students will: •  Work collaboratively with Happy Mango team members on a diverse set of projects; •  Build relationships with Happy Mango clients and partners; and •  Attend various instructional, knowledge-sharing and networking events.

Learn Three internships are offered as follows (dates are approximate): •  Summer full-time: May 21 - August 21 •  Fall part-time: September 15 - December 15 •  Spring part-time: January 20 - April 20 •  Internship breaks will occur December - January and April - May for mid-term and final exams respectively.   Full-Time (F/T) vs. Part-Time (P/T): •  Full-time interns will have a designated desk at Happy Mango’s office, where they spend approximately 40 hours per week. •  Part-time interns will have access to Happy Mango’s office and are expected to spend 15-20 hours per week.

Grow Examples of projects include: •  Working with the marketing team to conduct market research; •  Creating lender and investor pitch decks; •  Developing product presentations; •  Working with the social media team to create and design new ad campaigns; •  Drafting blog and company announcements; •  Working with the research team to improve the risk assessment algorithm; •  Working with the product team to optimize the user experience design; •  Assisting with legal and regulatory research; and •  Organizing community outreach programs.

Day 1 Orientation Morning : •  Interns will meet with Happy Mango partners as a group to discuss: !  Internship program !  Happy Mango’s business development objectives !  Overall internship goals to be achieved Lunch: •  Get to know each other over lunch Afternoon or Following Day: •  Each intern will meet with Happy Mango partners individually to discuss: !  Individual professional goals !  Vision regarding how to achieve those goals !  An action plan with well-defined milestones to measure progress toward such goals   Last Day Celebration Afternoon : •  Interns will individually present “take-aways” and what he or she has learned. Dinner: •  Group celebration Through out the internship, all students in the program will get a chance to meet each other and all the members on the Happy Mango team through monthly gatherings in both formal and informal settings. Marketing & Research •  Organize community outreach programs, e.g., meet-ups; •  Propose social media marketing campaigns; •  Develop market research questionnaires and metrics; and •  Interview users and potential users for product and brand feedback. B. Product Design & Algorithm •  Analyze macroeconomic and user data; •  Document and refine algorithm; and •  Work with front-end and back-end developers on enhancing product features. C. Business Development •  Develop investor pitch books; •  Accompany management to meetings with banks and asset managers; and •  Develop product presentations. D. Self-Designed Multi-Track Program •  Combine several tracks instead of concentrating on a single one
