1. LOCATIONS
Location 1: Forest
This location will be used for the start and ending of the narrative where the original
fairy tales take place. Since we want to combine both Snow White and also Romeo
and Juliet we want to try take conventions from both films. In the story of Snow White
the actual main setting is the forest in which Snow White lives with the seven dwarfs.
Due to this we wanted to try and include a forest at some point in our video and we
actually discussed it being a recurring theme of symbolism representing their
struggles of the progressing relationship of Snow White and The Prince
Location 2: Field
This location will be used for the performance so the surroundings will fit in with the
conventions of the genre. As we plan to do a music video with a combination of both
pop and country genres, it is vital for us to have a suitable location that clearly
represents each genre. We discussed that location two will represent the more
country based side of the song, therefore we had to talk about appropriate locations.
Out of all of the things discussed we liked the idea of a field in particular as this is
something that strongly represents the country genre and characters are commonly
seen running through fields at one point or another this is why we wanted to replicate
this idea in particular.
Location 3: Castle
When this location will be used for the darker parts of the narrative, so when we use
these location it will be during dusk to give the story a dark edge. One of our ideas in
particular for this place was a castle. This is majorly due to the fact we want rotate
between a sort of more gothic dark fairy tale and then a more brighter and chirpy
setting. However, we understand that to use a location like this we will have to get
permission as we will not be able to just go to this area as we please. Therefore, we
plan to email the people in charge so we able to get permission. This will also we
done when we have the official dates the parts of our music video that will require
this location in particular.
