1. COSTUME AND PROPS
Location 1: Forest
In this location the characters will be wearing the colours that are originated with their typical
costumes because this is before the dark grim section in the middle.
Costume for Snow White:
We have had the idea on making the characters wear more modern day versions of
their costumes, as it reverts away from the originals, so if we were to go with this
idea we would get Snow White to wear a blue top, a yellow skirt or trousers, with red
shoes and a red bow in her hair. For the costume if the performers don’t own a blue
top it is likely that we could get this from Primark along with red shoes if need be.
Then for the yellow bottoms if we aren’t able to buy any from shops in town we can
by them from Amazon or Ebay.
Costume for Little Red Riding Hood:
If we are going with the theme for modern day clothes she could wear a blue dress
with a red jacket, however it will be easy to buy a red cape as there will be stuff out
for halloween and it is an easy item to buy on Amazon or Ebay. Then to go with the
Red jacket or cape they can wear red flats with white frilly socks. The prop for this
character would be a basket because in the fairytale she is carrying a basket of food
to her Grandmas. To get these costumes you will be able to buy the dress, shoes

2. and socks in town from clothes shops, then for the cape it might be available in the
shops near halloween or buy it on Amazon or Ebay.
Costume for Juliet:
In the book and film she wears a long white dress which can also fit the modern
clothing theme. So to make it clear that the character is Juliet along with the
narrative the performer will wear a long white dress which could be bought in places
like New Look and Next.
Costume for Romeo:
For Romeo’s costume to stick with the modern day theme but still have some
characteristics he will be wearing a white shirt with dark coloured jeans.

3. Location 2: Feild
For this location this is where the performance takes place so because these scenes are of the artist
they will be wearing clothes which link with the genre or music to help separate the performance
and narrative.
Costume:
To fit in with the conventions and location that the performance scenes are filmed in
it is possible that we will get the performer to wear a checkered shirt or t-shirt with
jeans or a flowing dress with boots. These items can be lent from friends or they are
easy items to buy in shops like primark where they are cheap.
Location 3: Castle
In this particular location this is where the narrative changes to the dark grim reality of the
stories, so because of this the costumes will change to black and grey versions of the costumes they
were originally wearing.
Costume for Snow White:
For this costume the actress will be wearing a black top, maybe lace, with black
trousers or skirt and black shoes. To get access to theses costumes they can be lent
by friends or easily bought in shops like primark and new look.

4. Costume for Little Red Riding Hood:
They could be wearing a dark red/burgundy cape and shoes with a black dress. For
these costumes they could be bought from amazon or shops in town because they
are rather simple and plan costumes.
Costume for Juliet:
As this is the darker version Juliet will be wearing a long black dress, this could be
bought from shops in town or amazon. The black colour scheme for Juliet in the
more gothic themed variant really connotes the feeling of darkness and the fact that
something isn’t quite right in the situation.

5. Costume for Romeo:
Romeo could be wearing a grey shirt with black trousers, which could be bought in
shops like M&S unless the actor already owns them.
