1. Evaluation - How did you
attract/address your audience?
Snatched.
2. The Happening vs. Snatched
• The titles are shown in similar ways. Both titles are placed on a
black background and have a similar font. Both have slight
disorientation to the letters. For example in the Snatched titles the
letters pulsate before exiting the screen where as on The Happening
titles the titles pulsate as well as looking like they are being
electrocuted.
3. The Happening vs. Snatched
• The happening and snatched also use similar locations. They both
are represented as a public area such as a park, Snatch is
represented more as a child’s play park due to the audience being
able to the climbing frames and swings within the shot. Whereas
more The Happening is represented more as a open piece of land
that the public may use for bike rides, walking their dogs and
everyday activities rather than specifically just for children.
4. Taken vs. Snatched
• Both Taken and our own film, Snatched. Have similar storylines in
the way that the character is being kidnapped by a antagonist. The
kidnapping scenes are similar for both films. For example, in both
scenes the antagonist is unidentified. Both characters that are being
kidnapped are screaming and trying to hold onto what they can to
get away from the antagonist.
5. Panic Room vs. Snatched
• Even though these films are very different, they
both use children as main characters. ‘However’
in Panic Room the child is a girl and in Snatched
is a boy, but they are both of similar ages.
