Mainareaof activity
I am going to be doing this as a video project
TargetAudience
This project I don’t want it to aim towards a particular social class or gender etc, because this
is something that everyone can relate to, howeverit would be better forpeople whoare 16
and overbecause they are the ages that I am interviewing and that makes it more relatable. I
don’t have a set gender forwho I want this to appeal to however as I will be discussing
psychologicalfactors, it may appeal more towards women because they are more drawn to
psychology.[Willyard, C. (2011). Men:A GrowingMinority?. Available:

Rationale:
I have used different types of cameras before, and forthis project I plan on using the Canon
250D which I have used multiple times so I willbe able to get the best out of it forwhat I
want to do, and this will be beneficial because the skills I have are transferable to different
camera types. Additionally, I have learnt how to set up an interview properly so this willbe
useful for when I film the interview section. I have also got the postproduction skills that I
need to put together a basic videoso this is something that I willuse I this project
ProjectConcept:
The concept of my project is I am doing a short documentary on decision making and I
discuss what factorsgo into being indecisive. I plan to interview a group of different aged
people to get their opinions and then say what decisions they’vehad to make, and which
ones were the hardest to make and the ones that have been most impactful. The research I
need to conductfor this is to look more into the factorscontributing into being
indecisiveness and is there a solution etc. I also need to have a lookat the questions I am
going to ask that allowsme to get the best answer from the interviewee. I also plan on
including a bit of workfrom Daniel Kahneman whohas studied decision making and he is a
psychologist, so I want to find a few simple statements and include these into the project,
howeverI mainly want this project to focuson the creative aspect rather than the content
because this is where I think would be most beneficial formy FMP if I managed to develop
production skills etc
Howwill the projectbeevaluatedand reviewed?
When evaluating this project,I want to make notes on each stage starting from the research
and then put it all together in the evaluation. I am going to discuss the strengths of my
project overall and then go into how I could have improved certain things, and to do this I
will have some people look at the video and then get some feedbackfrom them.

Week Specific Tasks
1 Production [in/out?] Get the opening scenes filmed
2 Production [in/out?] Get the interview scenes filmed
3 Production [in/out?] Postproduction
4 Production [in/out?] Postproduction
Be aware which of those weeks are in or out of college,as you may need to plan different tasks around other
work when workingremotely. Budget for approximately 30 hours for production – which is roughly two weeks
of your in-collegetime.
