- These fall in to 6 categories. The first is around visibility, we get told all the time: I don’t know what I have I don’t know who is using what I don’t know if we have the right amount of devices to meet the needs of the business, or even if we have way too much
- So we have build a tool to help you know what assets exist, who uses them and if they’re meeting the requirements. Know what assets we have Ability to know what assets are in the environment and their current state. Achieve confidence across the enterprise that asset data is accurate and timely. Know what Molina Healthcare owns Know what is available (inventory) Know what is allocated User and/or location Financial owner Is it being used Know what needs to be refreshed Know what assets need to be recovered Know what assets are missing Know what needs to be disposed Achieve data integrity and confidence in the numbers Make better business decisions Enhance forecasting capabilities Reduce the need to horde Reduce security risks from missing assets with PHI or other sensitive data Need meaningful analytics
- The next area is about money. If you can relate to these questions: I don’t know what my assets are costing me I can’t enforce accountability I can’t defend my budget I can’t forecast anything

- The third area we hear a lot about is compliance and risk management. This is becoming ever more the focus of implementing Asset management as the ramifications and costs of an audit or worse, a breach of compliance can be catastrophic.
