6. ● The software provides many image editing
features for raster (pixel-based) images as
well as vector graphics. It uses a layer-based
editing system that enables image creation
and altering with multiple overlays that support
transparency.
8. File: Lets you open new documents, save as option, print, import, and export
Edit: Options of copy/paste, step forward/backward, defining patterns
Image: Allows you to manipulate the image in terms of size, color, contrast, and tone
Layer: Lets you duplicate or have a new layer, along with layer properties
Select: Option of selecting or deselecting layers
Filter: Contains the subsections of: extract, filter gallery, liquify, and pattern maker
View: Enables you to zoom in or out and image
12. ● Panels: help you manage, monitor, and modify images. Some panels have
menus that provide additional commands and options.
● Layers: sheets of stacked acetate.
● Document window: area where all pages are created and shapes can be
positioned
● Workspace: where you create and manipulate your documents and files using
various elements, such as panels, bars, and windows
● Resolution: The number of pixels per unit of length on a monitor
● Color mode: An image can be converted to any of these color codes:Bitmap,
Grayscale, Duotone, Indexed Color, RGB Color, CMYK Color, Lab Color, or
Multichannel.
● Styles: used for text effects, but they can be used on images, backgrounds, and
any other layer.
