2. ECDC presentation
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control is an
independent EU agency established in 2005 and seated in Sweden
with the aim to support and promote global health security, covering
EU 27 and EEA/EFTA countries.

Waterborne Diseases and Zoonoses (FWD)
Strengthen
 Integrated surveillance in humans, food and animals
 Laboratory capacity in Member States
 Collaboration between public health, food and animal authorities

 Detection of international food-borne diseases clusters and outbreaks
