NP+TW+要+VP
English meaning:
The auxiliary verb 要 (yào) has several different meanings, and
here we'll tackle the "want to" meaning. To express "wanting to do"
something, use 要 (yào) before the verb.
Structure:
Subj. + 要 + Verb + Obj.
A:你今天下午要做什麼?
A: Nǐ jīntiān xiàwǔ yào zuò shénme?
A: What are you doing this afternoon?
B:我下午要打棒球。
B: Wǒ xiàwǔ yào dǎ bàngqiú.
B: I will play baseball in the afternoon.
NP+TW+要+VP
A:哥哥你明天早上要做什麼?
A: Gēgē nǐ míngtiān zǎoshang yào zuò shénme?
A: What are you going to do tomorrow morning?
B:我明天早上要跑步。
B: Wǒ míngtiān zǎoshang yào pǎobù.
B: I’m going to run tomorrow morning.

A:你中午要做什麼?
A: Nǐ zhōngwǔ yào zuò shénme?
A: What are you doing at noon?
B:我中午要去餐廳吃飯。
B: Wǒ zhōngwǔ yào qù cāntīng chīfàn.
B: I will go to the restaurant to eat at noon.
