Promising to solve the
issues of recurring
floods, illegal migrants
and condition of tea
garden workers in As-
sam, BJP’s star-cam-
paigner, UP Chief Min-
ister Yogi Adityanath
on Tuesday accused
the opposition Con-
gress of failing to solve
them during its days in
power in the northeast-
ern state.
“What the British
could not achieve
through the Partition of
Bengal in 1905, Con-
gress did in 1947 by join-
ing hands with the Eng-
lish (British). How your
ancestors suffered due
to this divisive policy,
you can see even today
in Bangladesh, the way
Hindus are persecuted,
their homes set ablaze
and their temples de-
stroyed,” he alleged.
Asserting that the
saffron party will
permanently solve
the problems of ille-
gal migrants and flood
menace if it is re-
elected in Assam,
CM Yogi said
that peace,
unity and de-
velopment
have been
ushered
in the
state in
the past
five years. He addressed

What was being considered as a victory over corona has now proved to be
merely a time bomb ticking away as the Corona infection, with its foreign
strain too, is spreading its tentacles across the country. Coupled with the
sudden change in weather on Tuesday across the North-Western parts of India,
it is feared that a drop in temperature caused by rain could lead to a further
increase in corona cases. Tuesday evening’s lightning captured by First India
photojournalist Santosh Sharma above Jaipur skyline perhaps hints at the
dangerous times ahead, if the Covid protocol is not followed with utmost zeal.

he COVID pan-
demic has
shone a light on
the ongoing de-
cline in young
people’s mental health.
Psychologists have warned
if we don’t start to address
the mental health emer-
gency of young people’s
anxiety and depression, it
may become a “trans-gen-
erational disaster”.
Paediatricians have said
they are seeing growing
numbers of young people
coming to the emergency
room because of a lack of
other treatment options.
In an effort to address
the rising rates of anxiety
and depression in chil-
dren, Victoria trialled
mental well-being coordi-
nators in ten schools last
year. The initiative is now
expanding to 26 primary
schools in 2021.
Meanwhile, the royal
commission into Victoria’s
mental health system has
recommendedyouthmental
health hubs, some of which
willsoonberolledoutinpri-
ority areas across the state.
Developing specialist
youth mental health hubs
is one of several strategies
also suggested by the Aus-
tralian Psychological Soci-
ety to the federal govern-
ment in a recent budget
submission.
So,whatareyouthmental
health hubs, and will they
work to stem the tide of
mental health issues young
people are experiencing?
EVERYTHING
IN ONE PLACE
Australia’s National Strat-
egy for Young Australians
defines youth as young peo-
ple between 12-24 years of
age. Evidence shows half
of mental disorders first
emerge by the age of 14,
and 75% by the age of 24.
Left untreated, these
mental health problems
have high rates of recur-
rence and cause negative
outcomes for the individu-
al, including reduced eco-
nomic productivity, as well
as social costs.
Youth mental health
hubs provide mental
health and social services
in one location. This is
partly because a range of
risk behaviours come with
mental health difficulties
including tobacco, drug
and alcohol use, sexual
risk taking, reduced levels
of physical activity and
poor nutrition. Evidence
also suggests young people
prefer to have their needs
met in one place, rather
than across a number of
locations and will then be
more likely to seek help
when they need it.
Youth hubs should there-
fore have a range of spe-
cialists on site, such as
trained mental health cli-
nicians, sexual health sup-
port counsellors and psy-
chiatrists.
Young people also want
and need access to mental
health information and re-
sources. So a youth hub
should be a safe place for
young people to get the in-
formation they need.
Youth hubs would be
connected physically and/
or in partnership with
schools, community organ-
isations (such as homeless-
ness services) and with
medical specialists.
They are ideally co-de-
signed by experts and
youth with lived experi-
ence, on equal grounds. Ide-
ally, the hubs are a youth
friendly, one-stop-shop for
support ranging from re-
ferrals, assessment, thera-
pies and intervention.

PARTIES WOO WOMEN
VOTERS IN TN, BENGAL
lections are turning out to be enrich-
ing, quite literally, for women family
heads in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu
where political parties are promising
them cash if voted to power. After DMK
promised a monthly Rs. 1000 cash aid for women
family heads, the AIADMK raised the amount
promising a little more---Rs 1500---than its arch-
rival. To what extent the extra Rs 500 will swing
votes in Jayalalitha’s party will be known only
after the counting is over but women, many be-
lieve, will play an important role in the outcome
of these elections. The DMK, which has the ad-
vantage of having an established leader in Kani-
mozhi, has fielded 12 women candidates com-
pared to AIADMK’s 31. More than cash, Kani-
mozhi feels that women’s safety will be a bigger
issue in the polls.
In West Bengal where Bangla nijer meye kei
chaye (Bengal wants its own daughter) statement
made Mamata Didi the State’s daughter, the Tri-
namool Congress has promised a yearly aid of Rs.
6000 to female heads of family in the general cat-
egory and 12,000 a year to those in the SC/ST cat-
egory if the party is returned to power. The BJP
has also kept women, voters, in mind in its mani-
festo for Bengal. Instead of money, however, the
BJP has promised 33 percent job reservation along
with free travelling for women in public transport.
Women in West Bengal and South India not only
enjoy a higher status but also greater freedom than
their counterparts in the north. While financial
doles may be important, they’d prefer a safe soci-
ety more.
E
IN-DEPTH
ABOVE 45 YEARS? GO,
GET THE VACCINE!
ith daily Covid-19 cases rising in the
country, the government has allowed
vaccination of all those who are above
45. Earlier the jabs were meant for sen-
ior citizens with relaxation for those
below 50 with co-morbidity
. With the age bar low-
ered to 45 and above more people can get a shield
against the virus to prevent its spread. The deci-
sion was taken in view of 40,715 new cases regis-
tered in a day, as recorded by the Union Health
Ministry’s data as updated at 8 am on Tuesday
. The
nation’s tally has risen to 1.16 crore. With more
people expected to queue up for vaccination, the
government came out with an assurance on the
availability of vaccines for all. There is no short-
age of the vaccine, the government said. Health
ministry data of those vaccinated in the last 24
hours---32, 53, 095---also proves that.
The worrying factor was the rising number of
cases with the UK variant in Punjab leading the
State government to urge the Centre to allow vac-
cination of younger people as 81 percent of the 401
new samples were found to be of UK’s B 1117
strain. Coverage of younger people could break
the infection chain.
As the country has been consistently recording
over 40,000 cases since March 20, the States are
once again gearing up to face a renewed threat
from the virus. In a grim reminder of last year’s
situation, strict curbs have been imposed on Holi
celebrations. What is being ignored is the pell-mell
at election rallies in poll-bound States in which few
adhere to Covid-19 protocols.
W
ndu Carnegie who is consid-
ered as one of the best indus-
trialists in the world of the
steel industry said one very
beautiful thing in his biog-
raphy. According to Andu
Carnegie, the main reason
one gets success is when you
see the gratefulness in every
situation, all with some new
perspectives. If you have
persistence and strong
strength, then, in any case,
be it be the opposite circum-
stances, you will be able to
remain mentally stable get
out of the situation easily.
He told how he saw his fa-
ther struggling for a job,
what poverty really means.
He has been all the tough
situations all his childhood.
Andu explains how his mind
gets distracted when he looks
back on those days and how he
accepted the whole situation as
a challenge. “At an early age, I
decided that I would look at the
world with a whole new per-
spective and find the way out
of every difficult situation and
I will not cry for every obstacle
that comes through”, says
Andu. I started my own small
business too. I understood
from the very beginning that if
you want to survive the diffi-
cult parts, then I have to change
the perspective of seeing any
situation.
Andu Carnegie’s biogra-
phy has another very impor-
tant thing to learn. He wrote
that on the day you decide to
become an entrepreneur, you
have to admit that you are
different from the others.
You will have to work being
self-motivated every time.
Leave the idea behind that
someone will walk into your
life and inspire you. You have
to build your own destiny
. As
an entrepreneur, the level of
risks for you gets a little
higher. Each of your steps
may affect your family
, so if
you remain mentally weak
then you will harm not only
yourself but also your family
.
Your positive thoughts and
mental stability will make
you different from others.
I tried to think about my
business differently. People
usually buy partners but I
made them. I portrayed my
situation to others in a differ-
ent way. I am sure that if you
keep your thoughts positive
and work hard then you will
surely succeed. Keep in mind
that your body gets affected by
the stress that you take out of
work. Always keep a blissful
nature such that your body also
remains good with the mind.
Most people cannot use their
skills because they have a mind
full of negative thoughts. What
I mean is that change your
views, and definitely, you will
see your achievements coming
down. There is a grand, clear,
and wonderful life is in front of
you. Wake up, rise and achieve.
This may apply to your
company, whether small or
big. Each company has a
small or a large amount of
risk. Large companies have
more of their company’s
quality and compliance risk.
When there comes a lot of
complaints from the market
and there becomes a need to
withdraw the product from
the market, then the com-
pany gets in the risk radar
zone. This leads the top man-
agement to get into stress
and often take bad decisions.
Similarly, small and medi-
um-sized companies have a
major impact on any market
change. It means that the
situation and circumstances
will keep changing, but you
can get out of mental stabil-
ity as on this the company
success depends.
SOME TIPS

z Be it any situation, you should
always keep your vision posi-
tive, which will make the big
problems look smaller.

z The situation and circumstanc-
es vary, but it is the stability
that makes you great.

z If you have perspective, you
can become a good person and
leader.

z You have only one life don’t
ruin the time with negativity.

farmers if payments for their crops procured
during rabi season, commencing from April 1, get
delayed, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar an-

fuel, Finance Minister
Nirmala Sitharaman said
she would be “glad” to
discuss the suggestion of
bringing petrol and diesel
under the ambit of the
Goods and Services Tax
at the next meeting of the
GST Council. State levies
and central excise duty
account for more than
half of the retail selling
prices of petrol and
diesel. For instance, taxes
make up for 60 per cent
of the present retail price
of petrol of Rs 91.17 a
litre in Delhi. Excise duty
constitutes 36 per cent
of the retail price. Over
53 per cent of the retail
selling price of Rs 81.47
a litre for diesel in Delhi is
made up of taxes.

LOCKDOWN IN SOME MAHA CITIES IF DAILY
RISE IN COVID CASES CROSSES 25K MARK
The civic body has already banned Holi in view of the surge identified as second peak
Mumbai: The daily
coronavirus surge in
Mumbai has crossed
3,500, which is 8 per
cent above the number
reported. The number
of recoveries in the
same period is 1,203.
Eight people have died.
The number of fresh
cases reported over the
last 24 hours is 3,512,
data from the state gov-
ernment showed.
Across Maharashtra,
26,699 cases were logged
over the last 24 hours.
There has been a sharp
rise in the number of
deaths. From yester-
day’s 58, the figure shot
up to 132 -- a 127 per cent
increase since yester-
day. The figure, howev-
er, includes fatalities
that went unreported
for more than a week.
74 deaths occurred in
the last 48 hours and 23
over the last week. The
remaining 35 deaths are
from the period before
last week.
“If the number of
daily cases in the state
remains in the range of
25,000 to 30,000 for the
next some days, the Ud-
dhav Thackeray-led
Maharashtra govern-
ment may impose lock-
down-like restrictions
in some cities, includ-
ing Mumbai”, said
state Health Minister
Rajesh Tope, asking
people to follow COV-
ID-19 safety protocols
religiously if they
don’t want another
lockdown. Speaking to
reporters, the minister
asserted that CM
Thackeray was of the
view that lockdown
may become necessary
in some cities if the
fresh cases continue to
rise. Maharashtra has
fared the worst among
more than seven states
have been hit by a surge
in Covid, suspected to
have been brought
about by several mu-
tant strains of the vi-
rus. “According to their
estimate, the graph of
COVID-19 cases will re-
main the same for the
next two to three days
and after that, it will
decline. I think this is a
peak and I hope it will
go down,” said Tope.
He also said that the
state was not hiding
any cases, and each
case is registered with
the ICMR.
“The question is if
this is being followed in
other states or not,” he
said. While the Centre
wants at least 70 per
cent of tests to be RT-
PCR, in Maharashtra,
the proporftion is 73
per cent, Tope said.
Tope also denied that
vaccines were going to
waste. —Agencies

DATES CLASH:
P’YAT POLLS MAY
RESCHEDULE UP
BOARD EXAMS
A dditional Chief
Secretary,
Panchayati Raj Manoj
Kumar Singh’s meeting
with Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanayth
on Monday has triggered
speculations about Board
Examinations getting
postponed because
of clash of dates with
Panchayat elections.
Armed with the itinerary
of Panchayat elections
scheduled to be held in
April, Singh, according to
sources, discussed the
issue with UP CM.
He reportedly suggested
that exams of UP Board
may be shifted after
the vote counting is
over and the results
are announced.It is to
be noted that the state
election commission is
expected to announce
the polls schedule on
March 27, it requires a
minimum of 42 days to
conduct the three-tier
Rural polls.The election
panel plans to hold the
UP Panchayat Elections
2021 in three-stages
across all the districts
of Uttar Pradesh by the
n end of April 2021. The
voting process for UP
Panchayat elections is
expected to conclude
by April 30, with results
expected to come-out
by May 3 or 4, 2021.
Therefore, Deputy Chief
Minister Dinesh Sharma,
who holds the education
portfolio in the state
said, “Examinations are
unlikely to begin from
April 24 as announced
earlier. The new dates
and schedule of the
examinations for High
School and Intermediate
will be declared after
the announcement of
the Panchayat polls
schedule. Results will be
declared by mid-June.”
With fresh spike in Covid
cases and threat of a
second corona wave
looming large in the
State, the education
department would be
more than happy to
postpone the exams.

FINALLY! LDA
TERMINATES
JUST-ON-PAPERS
EMPLOYEES
LDA has finally
woken up and has
now terminated eight
employees who were
working only in papers,
this long overdue
decision was taken
by LDA VC Abhishek
Prakash. What is now
being viewed with a lot
of ‘terror’ is that a list is
being made of employees
who are reluctant to
discharge their duties
properly and also that
action will be taken
against them soon. A
racket that employees
have become employers
as they have hired private
persons and relatives
to do their job for them
at nominal rates. It is
interesting to note that
these ‘employees turned
employers’ have made
life very lucrative by
holding one more job
outside. Two gardeners,
supporting and
cleaning staff are in the
termination list.

hether you use one post-
shower, slip one on for
#selfcaresunday, or just
like to generally be
wrapped up when loung-
ing around the house,
there’s no denying that
putting on a robe always elicits
majorly cozy and relaxed vibes.
It’s not surprising that there
was once a 2,000-person waitlist
for this standout staple. Made
from 100 per cent Turkish cotton,
these robes are plush and cozy,
yet light enough that you can
wear them year-round. Design-
wise, it has two front pockets, a
waist tie, and a shawl collar.
Robes make it great for chilly
mornings, and the terry materi-
al is ideal for using it right out of
the shower. Plus, it gets softer
and softer with every wash.
Made of modal jersey fabric
that’s equal parts comfortable
and breathable, these robes are a
great pick for summer or for
anyone who lives in warmer cli-
mates. Still, it’s ankle-grazing

add a sophisticated touch.
For something a little fun and
different, robes featuring a flirty
fringe trim are an amazing op-
tion. Whether you’re having a
destination wedding or an all-
girls party, these robes will
brighten any photo.
If there’s one thing we know
about 2020, it’s that tie-dye is hav-
ing a real moment. So if you’re
looking for a robe that’s com-
pletely non-traditional but on-
trend, a waffle robe is a no-brain-

While robes are not a required
item for your bridesmaids, they
make for an extra special touch

  • 1. First India Bureau Udarbond/ Silchar/ Borkhola (Assam): Promising to solve the issues of recurring floods, illegal migrants and condition of tea garden workers in As- sam, BJP’s star-cam- paigner, UP Chief Min- ister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday accused the opposition Con- gress of failing to solve them during its days in power in the northeast- ern state. “What the British could not achieve through the Partition of Bengal in 1905, Con- gress did in 1947 by join- ing hands with the Eng- lish (British). How your ancestors suffered due to this divisive policy, you can see even today in Bangladesh, the way Hindus are persecuted, their homes set ablaze and their temples de- stroyed,” he alleged. Asserting that the saffron party will permanently solve the problems of ille- gal migrants and flood menace if it is re- elected in Assam, CM Yogi said that peace, unity and de- velopment have been ushered in the state in the past five years. He addressed three rallies in Udar- bond, Silchar and Borkhola on Tuesday . The BJP candi- dates face a challenge from Congress-All India United Demo- cratic Front (AIUDF) combine though Badruddin Ajmal’s par- ty has not set up its can- didate from any of the constituencies. Known for his oratory, the fire- brand poster boy of Hindutva is trying to add grist to the poll campaign of the saffron party and help in con- solidation of Hindu votes as a party rebel is also in the fray from Sil- char seat. Not surpris- ing therefore, the UP CM slammed Congress and accused it of in- dulging in “divisive politics” that led to the Partition of the country in 1947 and “having the same mindset” now as evident from its alli- ance with the AIUDF to fight the coming state polls in Assam. “Only the BJP can protect the ‘Asmita’ of Assam,” he said. He took a swipe at Con- gress leader Rahul Gan- dhi accusing him of remembering Assam only during elections to seek votes. Differences were created between upper and lower Assam and there were prob- lems of Bodoland, ille- gal migrants, insurgen- cy,” he said. What was being considered as a victory over corona has now proved to be merely a time bomb ticking away as the Corona infection, with its foreign strain too, is spreading its tentacles across the country. Coupled with the sudden change in weather on Tuesday across the North-Western parts of India, it is feared that a drop in temperature caused by rain could lead to a further increase in corona cases. Tuesday evening’s lightning captured by First India photojournalist Santosh Sharma above Jaipur skyline perhaps hints at the dangerous times ahead, if the Covid protocol is not followed with utmost zeal.

Psychologists have warned if we don’t start to address the mental health emer- gency of young people’s anxiety and depression, it may become a “trans-gen- erational disaster”. Paediatricians have said they are seeing growing numbers of young people coming to the emergency room because of a lack of other treatment options. In an effort to address the rising rates of anxiety and depression in chil- dren, Victoria trialled mental well-being coordi- nators in ten schools last year. The initiative is now expanding to 26 primary schools in 2021. Meanwhile, the royal commission into Victoria’s mental health system has recommendedyouthmental health hubs, some of which willsoonberolledoutinpri- ority areas across the state. Developing specialist youth mental health hubs is one of several strategies also suggested by the Aus- tralian Psychological Soci- ety to the federal govern- ment in a recent budget submission. So,whatareyouthmental health hubs, and will they work to stem the tide of mental health issues young people are experiencing? EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE Australia’s National Strat- egy for Young Australians defines youth as young peo- ple between 12-24 years of age. Evidence shows half of mental disorders first emerge by the age of 14, and 75% by the age of 24. Left untreated, these mental health problems have high rates of recur- rence and cause negative outcomes for the individu- al, including reduced eco- nomic productivity, as well as social costs. Youth mental health hubs provide mental health and social services in one location. This is partly because a range of risk behaviours come with mental health difficulties including tobacco, drug and alcohol use, sexual risk taking, reduced levels of physical activity and poor nutrition. Evidence also suggests young people prefer to have their needs met in one place, rather than across a number of locations and will then be more likely to seek help when they need it. Youth hubs should there- fore have a range of spe- cialists on site, such as trained mental health cli- nicians, sexual health sup- port counsellors and psy- chiatrists. Young people also want and need access to mental health information and re- sources. So a youth hub should be a safe place for young people to get the in- formation they need. Youth hubs would be connected physically and/ or in partnership with schools, community organ- isations (such as homeless- ness services) and with medical specialists. They are ideally co-de- signed by experts and youth with lived experi- ence, on equal grounds. Ide- ally, the hubs are a youth friendly, one-stop-shop for support ranging from re- ferrals, assessment, thera- pies and intervention. The enthusiasm and energy of the people of Assam is extremely encouraging. They will not be swayed by the negative agenda of the Opposition parties. The BJP has a proven track record of development and good governance in Assam. Prakash Javadekar @PrakashJavdekar Based on the advice of task force on #COVID, the Union Cabinet took the decision that henceforth the second dose of #Covishield will be administered between 4-8 weeks now for greater effectiveness. #CabinetDecisions PARTIES WOO WOMEN VOTERS IN TN, BENGAL lections are turning out to be enrich- ing, quite literally, for women family heads in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu where political parties are promising them cash if voted to power. After DMK promised a monthly Rs. 1000 cash aid for women family heads, the AIADMK raised the amount promising a little more---Rs 1500---than its arch- rival. To what extent the extra Rs 500 will swing votes in Jayalalitha’s party will be known only after the counting is over but women, many be- lieve, will play an important role in the outcome of these elections. The DMK, which has the ad- vantage of having an established leader in Kani- mozhi, has fielded 12 women candidates com- pared to AIADMK’s 31. More than cash, Kani- mozhi feels that women’s safety will be a bigger issue in the polls. In West Bengal where Bangla nijer meye kei chaye (Bengal wants its own daughter) statement made Mamata Didi the State’s daughter, the Tri- namool Congress has promised a yearly aid of Rs. 6000 to female heads of family in the general cat- egory and 12,000 a year to those in the SC/ST cat- egory if the party is returned to power. The BJP has also kept women, voters, in mind in its mani- festo for Bengal. Instead of money, however, the BJP has promised 33 percent job reservation along with free travelling for women in public transport. Women in West Bengal and South India not only enjoy a higher status but also greater freedom than their counterparts in the north. While financial doles may be important, they’d prefer a safe soci- ety more. E IN-DEPTH ABOVE 45 YEARS? GO, GET THE VACCINE! ith daily Covid-19 cases rising in the country, the government has allowed vaccination of all those who are above 45. Earlier the jabs were meant for sen- ior citizens with relaxation for those below 50 with co-morbidity . With the age bar low- ered to 45 and above more people can get a shield against the virus to prevent its spread. The deci- sion was taken in view of 40,715 new cases regis- tered in a day, as recorded by the Union Health Ministry’s data as updated at 8 am on Tuesday . The nation’s tally has risen to 1.16 crore. With more people expected to queue up for vaccination, the government came out with an assurance on the availability of vaccines for all. There is no short- age of the vaccine, the government said. Health ministry data of those vaccinated in the last 24 hours---32, 53, 095---also proves that. The worrying factor was the rising number of cases with the UK variant in Punjab leading the State government to urge the Centre to allow vac- cination of younger people as 81 percent of the 401 new samples were found to be of UK’s B 1117 strain. Coverage of younger people could break the infection chain. As the country has been consistently recording over 40,000 cases since March 20, the States are once again gearing up to face a renewed threat from the virus. In a grim reminder of last year’s situation, strict curbs have been imposed on Holi celebrations. What is being ignored is the pell-mell at election rallies in poll-bound States in which few adhere to Covid-19 protocols. W ndu Carnegie who is consid- ered as one of the best indus- trialists in the world of the steel industry said one very beautiful thing in his biog- raphy. According to Andu Carnegie, the main reason one gets success is when you see the gratefulness in every situation, all with some new perspectives. If you have persistence and strong strength, then, in any case, be it be the opposite circum- stances, you will be able to remain mentally stable get out of the situation easily. He told how he saw his fa- ther struggling for a job, what poverty really means. He has been all the tough situations all his childhood. Andu explains how his mind gets distracted when he looks back on those days and how he accepted the whole situation as a challenge. “At an early age, I decided that I would look at the world with a whole new per- spective and find the way out of every difficult situation and I will not cry for every obstacle that comes through”, says Andu. I started my own small business too. I understood from the very beginning that if you want to survive the diffi- cult parts, then I have to change the perspective of seeing any situation. Andu Carnegie’s biogra- phy has another very impor- tant thing to learn. He wrote that on the day you decide to become an entrepreneur, you have to admit that you are different from the others. You will have to work being self-motivated every time. Leave the idea behind that someone will walk into your life and inspire you. You have to build your own destiny . As an entrepreneur, the level of risks for you gets a little higher. Each of your steps may affect your family , so if you remain mentally weak then you will harm not only yourself but also your family . Your positive thoughts and mental stability will make you different from others. I tried to think about my business differently. People usually buy partners but I made them. I portrayed my situation to others in a differ- ent way. I am sure that if you keep your thoughts positive and work hard then you will surely succeed. Keep in mind that your body gets affected by the stress that you take out of work. Always keep a blissful nature such that your body also remains good with the mind. Most people cannot use their skills because they have a mind full of negative thoughts. What I mean is that change your views, and definitely, you will see your achievements coming down. There is a grand, clear, and wonderful life is in front of you. Wake up, rise and achieve. This may apply to your company, whether small or big. Each company has a small or a large amount of risk. Large companies have more of their company’s quality and compliance risk. When there comes a lot of complaints from the market and there becomes a need to withdraw the product from the market, then the com- pany gets in the risk radar zone. This leads the top man- agement to get into stress and often take bad decisions. Similarly, small and medi- um-sized companies have a major impact on any market change. It means that the situation and circumstances will keep changing, but you can get out of mental stabil- ity as on this the company success depends. SOME TIPS z Be it any situation, you should always keep your vision posi- tive, which will make the big problems look smaller. z The situation and circumstanc- es vary, but it is the stability that makes you great. z If you have perspective, you can become a good person and leader. z You have only one life don’t ruin the time with negativity. THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY THE AUTHOR ARE PERSONAL A Andu explains how his mind gets distracted when he looks back on those days and how he accepted the whole situation as a challenge. “At an early age, I decided that I would look at the world with a whole new perspective and find the way out of every difficult situation and I will not cry for every obstacle that comes through”, says Andu ANDU CARNEGIE’S BIOGRAPHY HAS ANOTHER VERY IMPORTANT THING TO LEARN. LDA TERMINATES JUST-ON-PAPERS EMPLOYEES LDA has finally woken up and has now terminated eight employees who were working only in papers, this long overdue decision was taken by LDA VC Abhishek Prakash. What is now being viewed with a lot of ‘terror’ is that a list is being made of employees who are reluctant to discharge their duties properly and also that action will be taken against them soon. A racket that employees have become employers as they have hired private persons and relatives to do their job for them at nominal rates. It is interesting to note that these ‘employees turned employers’ have made life very lucrative by holding one more job outside.
