3. The simple present is a verb tense with two
main uses. We use the simple present tense
when an action is happening right now or when
it happens regularly.

4. HOW TO USE SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
There is three types for using Simple Present Tense
1. To express habits, general thruths, repeated actions or unchanging
situations, emotions and whises.
example : I smoke (Habit). I work in London (Unchangin Situation),
London is a large city (General Truth)
2. To give instructions or directions.
example : You walk for two hundred meter then you turn left
3. To express fixed arrangements present or future.
example : Your exam start at 09.00 AM
4. To expres future time after some conjuctions (after, when , before, as soon
as, etc)
example : He’ll give it to you when you come next Saturday
5. THE PATTERN OF SIMPLE PRESENT
TENSE
A . VERBAL
POSITIVE (+) : S + Verb 1 + Object
NEGATIVE (-) : S + Do/Does + not + Verb 1 + Object
ARROGATIVE (?) : Do/Does + S + Verb 1 + Object
for example :
(+) They eat breakfast every morning.
(-) They don’t eat breakfast every morning.
(?) Do they eat breakfast every morning?
6. B. Non- Verbal
POSITIVE (+) : S + Be (is,am,are) + Object
NEGATIVE (-) : S + Be + not + Object
ARROGATIVE (?) : Be + S + Object
For example :

(-) My step sisters are not mean to my friends
(?) Are your step sisters nice to your friends ?
