2. Birth/Childhood
 Most heroes in stories start out as either royalty or into
danger ; and as far as the hunger games goes, Katniss is
born into danger.
 She is born into a dangerous world where there is not much
food, and crimes are punished with death.
 She has to hunt to provide for her family everyday, and if she
doesn’t they will starve.

3. Call to Adventure
 Katniss’s call to adventure starts when her sister, Primrose,
is Chosen to be a tribute for District 12.
 She wont allow her sister to go through that horrible
experience, so she takes her place as tribute.
 She takes heed to the call to adventure although she really
wants to refuse.

4. Allies
 Katniss gains many
allies during her
struggle in the Hunger
games.
 She gains the favor of
Peeta Melmark, Rue,
and Thresh all during
her Struggle to survive
in the hunger games.

5. Mentor
 The man who guided
Katniss through most of
her journey is haymitch.
 Haymitch, having won the
hunger games once
before, is a huge help for
her.
 He shows her Techniques
for surviving as well as
sends help in the games.

6. Supreme Ordeal
 Katniss’s supreme ordeal
would be when she was
engaged in the final battle of
the hunger games.
 At this time, she had to defeat
Cato and even though
suffering some wounds, she
defeated him.
