2. Articles are words that combine to a noun
to define a noun as specific or unspecific.
Basically, articles are of two types:
i. Indefinite Articles
ii.Definite Articles
4. INDEFINITE ARTICLE
A/AN
They refer to something not specifically
known to the person you are
communicating with.
They are used before nouns that introduce
something or someone you have not
mentioned before:

7. A OR AN
A is used before a word beginning with a
consonant sound.
e.g. A boy, A yard, A hole, A horse.
An is used before a word beginning with a
vowel sound.
e.g. An enemy, An umbrella, An hour.
8. DEFINITE ARTICLES
The definite article “THE” is used when
we talk about a particular person or thing.
There are two ways to pronounce "the".
One "thuh" and the other "thee".

10. ZERO ARTICLE
• When no article is needed.
• When making sentence with uncountable
plural noun.
