2.
We are positive that a beach scene will
feature in our music video as it is iconic of
teenagers having fun. Therefore Southend
we hope will be the setting we would
include and the beach and funfair situated
there will add to the diversity of the
locations dramatically and our montage. As
this location is a family one we will take
care when filming trying to avoid small
children and the elderly as these social
groups are not within our target audience.
We will also be diligent in our travels to and
fro as it is a long while away.
3.
We have decided that for our opening
scenes we will be using a dark/dreary
alley as to show the sadness and dark
tone as the protagonist has just broken
up with her boyfriend. We hope to be
shooting on a rainy day to add to the
atmosphere and get across the
characters sad emotions through
pathetic fallacy. This will contrast to the
lively, upbeat atmosphere of Central
London and we will use a side street
which is isolated and confined to
highlight the protagonists loneliness.
4.
This idea was in Icona
Pops music video for ‘I
Love It’ and this
appealed to us and so
we are definitely going to
be shooting a scene in
this location. It will portray
the theme of exploring
and going places in the
city of London. To ensure
our safety we will confirm
that the taxi is registered
and will not be travelling
a long distance as to not
waste money.
This is an arcade within Central
London which will enhance the
idea of young people having
fun. As we were not able to
gain access to clubs (which is
in most pop songs and also
Icona Pops music videos) we
found many other ways to
show the protagonist having
fun. This will be our unique way
of incorporating dancing
through the dance machines.
There will be many children
and so we will try to avoid
them within our shots.
5.
Easy access – train journey away
London is iconic, a lively city with a fun
atmosphere this is why we want to film in such
a place. We also have discovered that Icona
Pop’s own ‘I Love It’ had scenes in a
city, therefore we believe this will add to our
own music video.
This location will establish the setting of England
and will increase the idea of going out and
having fun with its diversity and status.
The difficulties may be that there will definitely
be large crowds which will make filming harder
and there is always a risk of transportation
troubles. But to avoid this we will ensure that we
always check the BBC News and transport for
London website.
6.
We want to include a house party as this
will be our way of showing a party scene
without attending a club, which we are
too young to do. This is typical of young
adults/teenagers and as the location will
be one of our houses then we will be
able to control all the
variables, who/what will be there. To
prevent hazards then we will be inviting
a little amount of people, will be granted
parental permission and will set up the
house as to no damages be afflicted.
7. One of my group members travelled to
Ibiza on holiday and so we took the
chance and she managed to film some
scenes. This location is infamous for its
young adult appeal and will provide good
location shots. This again will make our shots
more varied and the beach is more
befitting, with golden sands.
The aspect of a holiday is also largely
connect to young adults/teenagers who
make up our target audience and so we
hope to include this location in the
beginning shots, displaying the song title in
the sand of the beach.
8.
This location will highlight nicely the
summer days which is a key feature in
the lyrics of the song ‘I Love It’ we also
know that there are pedalo rides on the
lake and so we will be filming there soon.
There is the risk of our filming equipment
being damaged by the water, but to
reduce the loss we will be saving all the
data on our phones before setting off.
9. This location and shot will again increase
the variety and entertainment in the
montage we want to produce. It is an easy
and effective way of showing the audience
that the characters are having fun, the
bright colours will also add to the pop
convention of using bright, funky colours.
The difficulties may include that there will
be a lot of people and so we will have to
take care, we also have to make certain
that we arrive early to get sufficient space
to film.
10.
This location will reinforce the idea of the
protagonists hanging out with friends to
get over a breakup. The risk of noise
pollution is high and may decrease the
level of professionalism and quality so we
will film not at peak times. Therefore the
dialogue within these scenes will be
clear and effective.
