2. Chancelor Johnathan Bennett
He is a 24 year old rapper, recording artist and music producer from Illinois. His style is quite
noticeable and wears lots of the most expensive brands to show his amount of money. He is an
independent artist meaning he is not signed to a record label and makes music himself. There are
pros and cons of this, for example all of the money he makes goes straight into his bank account.
Whereas it also means he has to drive in numbers and money himself which is quite difficult. His
target audience are normally the younger generation as they are the ones most interested in rap
music. Chance The Rapper has been awarded a total of 13 awards which includes the Grammy
award for best new artist.

Sony music do not focus on one genre of music, I personally think this
is good thing as they can see which genre of music makes most money
instead of investing in one genre, they can instead experiment with
different genres.

marketing efforts, for example some former slogans have been, “The
one and only”, “It’s a Sony” and “Like no other”
