2. *Drafting - is the art of making technical
drawing and is performed by Architects,
engineers and designers of all types. Drawing
are created to represent a specific idea and
become a blueprint for a physical form.

3. *Drafting curves - are used for manually
drawing flowing curves. Also known as
french curves they have varying shapes, sizes
and cutting made in the centers that are
placed onto drawing materials and traced
with a pencil or knife, making it easier to
produce smooth curving lines.

4. *Drawing pencil - this is one of the most
important tools in drawing, it made of
lines representation of real thing an idea
or a design for production or
construction.

5. *Compass - this drawing instrument is
used when drawing arcs and circles. It
is used in a similar way to a divider it is
composed of one with the pen leg and
the needle point leg being held
together with a handle.

6. *T-square - a drawing instrument used
when making horizontal lines. It is also
used for guiding triangles when
drawing vertical lines, and made up of
wood.

7. *Protactor - the protactor is a tool used to
measure or lay out an angle or an arc. It is
either circular or semicircular protactor is
preferred to the metal one.

8. *Ruler - one of the most basic tools used for
drafting is a ruler. Also known as a rule, it is
straight edged tool made of plastic, wood or
metal with measurement millimeters
centimeters inches. It is used to measure
distances and to draw straight lines from one
point to another.
