10. Music
• We selected music from on Garageband to
use, we picked the same 2 sounds and
repeated them over and over.
11. Changed sound levels
• In order to make sure our music levels were
the same we selected this tool
• We then clicked where we wanted the levels
to change and dragged the dots to the
appropriate place
• Also, for our music, we used this to have it
slowly build up to full level and at the end
slowly mute down so the sounds weren’t too
harsh

20. How did you use media
technologies in the construction
and research, planning and
evaluation stages?
Research
21. • As a basis of research we used search engines
to gain information on facts, figures etc. This
enabled us to access figures from worldwide
and from years previously. This enables us to
paint a picture of what Teen Pregnancy rates
were like.
22. • We also used video websites to watch
similar documentaries to ours to learn
the conventions and get ideas.
23. • We read newspapers online to find
relevant stories and shocking
headlines
24. • In 2011 48% of young people said they go their news
through Facebook*. Due to this and the fact that our
target audience of our documentary makes up the
majority of users on Facebook, we thought this would be
a good way to ask people about what magazines they
would be most likely to use. In a Facebook message we
asked 30 people within our target audience age
range, the majority of people we asked were females as
this was our main target audience also however, we
asked some males.

27. We also used Microsoft Word to create
questionnaires to be handed out to people
to fill in.
28. We then used Microsoft programs
such as Word, Powerpoint or Excel to
create graphs demonstrating the
results of the questionnaires, this
enabled us to make decisions based on
our target audience research results.
29. How did you use media
technologies in the construction
and research, planning and
evaluation stages?
Planning
39. The most important media technology
we used was Blogger. This enabled us
to upload all of the work we had done
into one place, order it based on which
subheading it needed to come under
and edit it as required.
40. Overall
• Overall I feel we used all resources available to us, we
use numerous forms to present the information in
including Prezi’s, Word documents on Scribd and
PowerPoints on SlideShare.
• We also used Comic Life to produce a storyboard
rather than just producing one by hand.
• We didn’t just use images off the internet we used
Photoshop to edit images to create our own feel to
them.
• I feel we utilised all the media technologies available to
us to ensure that our work was up to a high quality and
that our research was accurate and our planning and
evaluations are easy to understand and well presented
