WORK EXPERIENCE

Lab Client Support Specialist III
• Projects a professional image through telephone communication, facsimiles, and
emails to internal and external ARUP customers.
• These calls includeclarifying, canceling, and ordering tests as requested by
various medical health providers.
• Providing specimen requirements, reference ranges, and stabilities for various
tests.
• Handling and splitting specimens to be routed to laboratories.
• Resolving general specimen and order issues.
• Provides a link between the technical sections and customers.
• Understand the appropriate specimen collection, handling, and transport
instructions.
• Documents customer communications, resolutions, issues, and appropriate follow-
up.
• Understanding of key ARUP systems in order to research and resolve customer
issues (ANSR, ESP Checkout, ESP RACS, ESP Inquiry, AS/RS System, IMS,
Millennium LIS).
Specimen Processor
• Receive specimens for laboratory testing.
• Match and/or enter patient information for processing.
• Observe strict patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Utilizing various computer programs to complete duties.
