3. Frantz Fanon...
Had both African and European ancestors.
When France fell to Germany in WW2, Frantz
experienced Racism for the First time.
Originally Wrote Black skin, White Masks was
a Doctoral dissertation, But it was rejected by
Faculty.
Legends, Stories, and overall history had a
negative impact on how white people viewed
the black man.
4. Black Skin, White Mask...
Black Skin,White Mask a book about the mindset on
psychology of racism.
In Black Skin, White Masks, Frantz Fanon combines
autobiography, case study, philosophy, and psychoanalytic
theory in order to describe and analyze the experience of
Black men and women in white-controlled societies.
He is especially interested in the experience of Black
people from French-colonized islands in the Caribbean, like
himself, who have come to live in France themselves.
He explores how these people are encouraged by a racist
society to want to become white, but then experience
serious psychological problems because they aren't able to
do so.
5. Black Skin,White Mask...
An important argument to
which Fanon returns more
than once is that Black people
don’t naturally feel inferior.
Instead, their sense of
inferiority is produced by racist
societies. Because of the
recognition involved in identity,
white people create their own
sense of superiority by saying
Blacks are inferior.
Fanon’s ultimate goal is
freedom, he values action
more than knowledge.

7. Racism in Literature...
Toni Morrison's novel "The Bluest
Eye".
Pecola Breedlove craving for love
and care, which she never Gert by
her short life.
Cholly"s rapes with her is disastrous
and her mother abandoned Pecola..
Obsessed with her own Ugliness
and with an overwhelming desire to
be white, blue- eyed and beautiful.
Pecola concludes that such beauty
would bring her LOVE..
8. Racism...
The subject of racism has been a lively topic for
critical debate since approximately the 1950s.
we were celebrate 72 years of our Independence
but our society still suffers from a colonial hangover
which discriminates on the basis of skin tone.
The colour bias is so ingrained in our country that
even the most influential sections like the film
fraternity have fallen prey to it.
While our media cries foul over Bollywood actors
facing racism in the West, innumerable untold tales
of racism remain waiting to be exposed in
Bollywood itself.
9. Bollywood has had a fair skin obsession for a
long time.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui said racism is prevalent
everywhere, saying his acting ambitions were
laughed at in his village because of the way he
looks.
10. Racism in Bollywood...
A few years ago, he had to
suffer the brunt of racist
remarks by none other than
senior actor Rishi Kapoor.
He Replying to Nawaz's
views on cliched romance in
Bollywood, Kapoor called
him an average actor who is
not capable of doing
romantic films because he
doesn't have the image and
the talent to pull them off.
11. Nawazzudian Siddiqui...
According to him, lot of people
in Bollywood industry are
racist, because of which he
has been rejected lot of times.
The twit came as a reaction to
one casting director
of Babumoshai
Bandookbaaz who
commented “ keeping Nawaz
in mind, all other characters
were taken on board. We cant
cast fair and handsome
people with Nawaz. It would
look so weird…”
Nawazuddin Siddiqui reacts
on his racism tweet: Ever
since I wanted to be an actor,
people asked me, ‘Shakal
dekhlo… Tu actor hai?’
12. Frieda Pinto...
Popularly known for
Hollywood movie Slumdog
Millionaire, she's another who
has been at the receiving end
of racial remarks due to her
dusky complexion, especially
in her modelling days.
Frieda has in fact time and
again accused Bollywood of
being fascinated with white-
skinned actors and has
openly expressed her disgust
about the auditioning process
for films in India.
13. Songs...
For example, take the song...
"Hum kaale hain to kya hua dilwale
hain" which means, "So what if I am
black, I am good-natured". The song
clearly portrays being dark-skinned
as being undesirable. So, you have
to make up for it via other virtues.
"Gore rang pe na itna ghuman kar,
gora rang to din mein dhal jayega" .
It means that,"Don't be so proud of
your fair skin, it'll tan in the
daylight".Which again portrays fair
skin as something of a privilege or
matter of pride.
14. Racism in Movie...
In Housefull, there was this scene and in name of
comedy and entertainment racist context was
ignored. Some find this funny but actually its not, by
just ignoring it and letting it go doesnt make things
better.
.A coloured baby is victimized here.boardwondering
why the censorship board didn't cut this scene.
Interestingly, this scene is still on the Internet which
seems to be funny and not many have raised
concerns or objections.
Not even .1% of Racism should be tolerated in India
and strict laws should be passed for extinguishing it.
Foreign countries follow zero tolerance approach,
which should be adapted in India. By just ignoring it
we are acknowledging that its normal. Everyone is
equally responsible for this racist scene.
15. Advertisement...
Just imagine for a second when a dark skinned boy or girl sees
these ads on Television set, magazine newspapers everyday and
every time.
What will be his/her state of mind?
Doesn’t he/she feel insecure about his/ her looks?
Doesn’t the confidence level of that person decreases?
Have the people of this country forgotten that a colour of a person
is hereditary. We people talk about attacks on Indian students in
foreign countries on the basis of colour and give huge lectures
when asked about our opinion on Racism.
Almost everyone in India is aware about the Mahatma Gandhi train
incident where he was pushed out of the first class train
compartment in South Africa by the English because he was
BLACK. All these incidents are taught to us at childhood so that we
don’t support Racism in any manner.
Then why are these advertisements not banned???
16. To Wind Up...
Skin is not the thing to judge a person.
Intellectuality is beyond the skin colour and nowadays black skin
people proved that..
Whitemask Means black want to hide themselves behind
Whitemask because they feel inferiority.
