Id,Ego & Super Ego...
•Id- pleasure principle, people are
doing what their subconscious mind
telling
•Ego- Rationality principle, people
think with rational mind
•Superego- Morality principle, fear of
society, God, think about what is
moral [right or wrong].
•People have some kind of troma, they
don't have control on their
subconscious mind.
•In Ek villain, Riteish Deshmukh has
the same kind of troma, he hasn't
control on his mind and fulfills his
pleasure principle.
 In the movie, Dil Chahta Hai...
 Akash represents Id.
 Id is the basic pleasure principle and that is
Akash's motto in life.
 He lives his life to satisfy immediate
gratification.
 Sid represents Superego.
 Which represents the ideal scenario. Superego
and Id are at constant battle with each other of
fulfilling your immediate desire and doing the
right thing.
 Sameer represents Ego.
 The ego has to constantly struggle to find the
ideal point between Id and superego. Which is
what Sameer does, in trying to patch things up
between Akash and Siddharth.
 These three characters represent one's state of
mind.
Mental Conflict...
• In the movie, Bhul Bhulaiya
Vidhya Balan,suffered from
a dissociative identity
disorder.
• She completely assumes the
identity of Manjulika and
tries to kill her own
husband; she sees him as
the king who had killed
Manjulika's lover.
 In the movie Darr,Shah
Rukh played an evil
person.
 A violent love story and
psychological thriller
that continues to stand
the test of time.
 The psychotic obsessive
lover between a couple.
Guilt & Innocence...
In "A Tell tale
Heart",narrator feels
the heartbeat of dead
body, it can be seen as
his guilt.
Fortunato described as
innocent, as he moving
towards his death he
gains the sympathy
from the audience.
• Maqbool is adaptations of Macbeth.
• Nimmi was tired of labeled as mistress. She
hates her situation where Abbaji can
replace her with more beautiful woman
from film industry anytime.
• She decides to use Maqbool to get rid of
Abbaji. She understands that only Maqbool
can give her the social respect that comes
with marriage.
• Nimmi and Maqbool killed Abbaji.
• Nimmi start hallucinating and feeling guilt
for Abbaji’s murder. Soon circumstances
around Maqbool gets out of
control.Maqbool and Nimmi meets their
ugly death.
Sense and Insanity...
• Most of the characters are portrayed
as insane, with some kind of troma
and mental disease.
• In the movie, Spyder there is one
Serial killer whose name is Bhairava.
• He was grown up at cremation
ground,where dead bodies are
brought to be burnt.
• He was habituated to listen about the
voice crying.
• Day by day, in his childhood he plans
murder.
Fear and Terror...
• The fall of the house of Usher,
narrator sense the fear in the very
beginning.
• In the movie 13/B, Manohar
(Madhavan )moves to an apartment
on the 13th floor with his family.
• The women in the family start
watching a new TV serial 'Sab
Khariat Hai'.
• The incident in the TV show starts
happening in their life. This
horrifying incidents makes the family
worried.
Attempt of Crime...
• Political corruption eats up the
life of a lot of public just for
the sake of money.
• So many such deep relations
are destroyed every year.
• Relation of a father-son has a
very deep connectedness be it
the case of a decorated guy or a
common man.
• "NIRMAL" who exposes
everything to it's truth value.
• He should awaken the
"JANTA" by their power and
strengthen.
Acceptance of Crime...
• Tell tale Heart, narrator accept his crime
very willingly.
• In the movie, Drishyam, Vijay Salgaonkar
is an orphan.
• 4th Fail.
• Conntented businessman running a cable
TV service in Goa.
• Famous in his area for helping people out
with the help of methods he learns from
films.
• Finally, Vijay cryptically confesses to
killing Sam.
• Vijay also asks for forgiveness, and explains
to them that he would go to any lengths to
protect his family.
• Vijay signs a register at the newly
constructed local police station.
• The new police inspector threatens Vijay
that he shall find the body.
• As Vijay leaves with a smile, a flashback
reveals that he has buried Sam's body
under the floor of the new police station,
while it was under construction.
