Reliable Job Evaluation

Some years back, Ayman
developed the JEM (Job

which helps organizations
to con idently plot the job
roles onto a reliable job
level matrix to develop the
organization grading
structure with consistent
pay bands.
JEM is an analytical point

effectively utilized since
2018 to evaluate thousands

different geographies and
industries. In comparison to
globally known
methodologies, JEM was

long-standing passion. Over
the years, he has found

Ayman takes pride in his
role as both a coach and
mentor, aiding these
individuals in discovering
their potential career
options, aligning with the
job market, and, most
importantly, recognizing
their true capabilities.
The process has proven to
be fascinating and deeply
rewarding. Ayman relishes
the opportunity to

the possibilities and evident

opportunity to engage with
a diverse group that
combines professional
competence with personal
matters. It's not uncommon
for this group to struggle
with shifting perspectives
and recognizing new
opportunities. Ayman's
challenge lies in
encouraging them to see
things differently, often
coaxing them to shed ego
and self-centered views.
Some ind solace in
identifying external factors,
such as family dynamics and
empathy, as motivations for
their career choices.
When it comes to coaching
executives, Ayman
acknowledges that they can
be demanding and
challenging. He adapts his
approach, often opting for a
mentoring role based on
their preferences and pace.
Successful executives
typically require a strong
sense of trust and personal
rapport. Less successful
ones may demand more
time and effort, and Ayman
is prepared to invest in
both. Smarter executives
often come with a clearer
understanding of their
needs and make the
coaching process more
manageable. Regardless of
the executive's pro ile,
Ayman recognizes their
pivotal role in their
organizations and takes the
time to understand their
background and their
organization's dynamics.

own paths and make
informed decisions is far
more valuable. In Ayman's
eyes, true success lies in
helping individuals unlock
their potential and navigate
their careers with
con idence and purpose.
Aligning Capabilities with
Strategy
According to Ayman, when
it comes to client
companies, the key to
success lies in identifying
the company's unique
capabilities and employing
them to achieve strategic
goals. This involves
recognizing the potential for
achieving their objectives
through effective leadership
and talent management.
The company's capability is
essentially a combination of
organizational strengths,
which includes valuable
human capital, especially
those individuals who lead
and possess the company's
essential knowledge and
expertise. Neglecting to
invest in nurturing and
managing the careers of
these key individuals can
limit the company's overall
potential.
For individuals seeking
career guidance, Ayman
believes that true
uniqueness is relatively
rare. However, he
emphasizes the importance
of helping each individual
discover their own "special"
value proposition. This
process involves identifying
signi icant
accomplishments and
successful events that were
the result of their hard work
and dedication. By
connecting these
achievements to their
inherent capabilities,
individuals can begin to
explore and leverage their
unique strengths. Ayman
inds that most individuals
can successfully identify
these strengths and
capabilities, which
ultimately set them apart
within their speci ic context.
This process typically
combines elements of
analogy, self-realization, and
validation, guiding
individuals toward a clearer
understanding of what
makes them stand out and
how they can offer
exceptional value in their
chosen careers.
Turning a Career
Transition into
Entrepreneurial Success
Ayman once took on an
assignment from LHH to
support a group of
professionals who had been
laid off from a global
technology organization,
many of whom were
returning to their home
countries (repatriating).
Among these professionals
was a dynamic and highly
charismatic sales leader
with over 15 years of
experience in similar roles
across various
organizations.
During the career
coaching sessions, Ayman
and this individual delved
into the possibility of
starting his own business.
They explored the idea of
leveraging his extensive
network, his natural
aptitude for athletics, his
sales expertise, and his
genuine passion for
excelling in events
management. It quickly
became evident that he had
the potential to carve a
niche for himself in this
ield.
Inspired by their
discussions and fueled by
his excitement, this
professional took the leap
and established his own
business specializing in
organizing and managing
large events. His venture
soon gained recognition in
the industry, and he has
been thriving ever since,
demonstrating how a career
transition can lead to
unexpected and remarkable
success when one follows
their true passions and
strengths.
Genuine Career
Advancement
Ayman recognizes a
common misconception
among many professionals –
the belief that a higher job
title equates to a career
upgrade. It is common that
individuals chase after a
higher job title within the
hierarchy, only to ind
themselves doing
essentially the same job as
before, with little genuine
career advancement.
In his role as a career
coach, Ayman takes it upon
himself to challenge this
misconception. He
encourages individuals to
focus on genuine
professional growth and
assures them that
advancements in job levels,
grades, and, ultimately,
compensation will follow as
a natural result. This shift in
perspective is not always an
easy sell, as the allure of job
titles can be strong.
For some individuals,
Ayman has con idently
advised them to pursue
career growth through a
different approach – what
he refers to as "zigzag"
moves between companies.
This strategy involves
making lateral or diagonal
career moves that may
immediately lead to a higher
job scope and provide
valuable experiences, skills,
and opportunities for

development. Over time,
these non-linear career
paths can lead to signi icant
advancement and
ful illment, proving that
there's more than one way
to climb the career ladder.
While this approach
obviously entails some
risks, it can be effective in
certain cases if wisely lead.
The Signi icance of
Learning Agility in Career
Development
Ayman places a strong
emphasis on the importance
of learning agility in one's
professional journey. He
believes that individuals
with good learning agility
are, to a great extent, well-
equipped to adapt and
thrive in their careers. Even
for those who may initially
resist putting in the effort to
learn and grow, Ayman has
found that reselling them on
readily available learning
opportunities often yields
positive results.
Ayman employs various
strategies to encourage
individuals to embrace
learning. This includes
urging them to seek out role
models, shadow
experienced professionals,
actively pursue challenging
projects and assignments,
and engage in conventional
learning channels such as
attending seminars or
joining professional groups.
These approaches can be
more engaging and effective
than forcing oneself to read
or take online courses.
One of Ayman's notable
achievements is convincing
individuals to allocate their
resources toward self-
education and learning, on
par with other lifestyle
expenses like buying a new
car. This shift in perspective
is considered a success, as it
recognizes the long-term
value of investing in
personal and professional
growth, ultimately leading
to a more ful illing and
successful career.
Networking and Project
Engagement for Career
Growth
Ayman places signi icant
importance on networking
and actively pursuing
assignments and projects as
key components of
continuous learning and
career growth. He believes
that expanding one's
professional network and
engaging in a variety of
projects are effective ways
to enhance learning and
personal development.
In Ayman's view, a larger
network provides more
opportunities for learning,
as individuals can exchange
ideas, insights, and
experiences with a diverse
range of contacts. Building
relationships within
different industries and
across various backgrounds
can lead to valuable
knowledge and
perspectives. Additionally,
Ayman advises his clients to
actively seek out
assignments and projects,
particularly in new
industries or with
diversi ied scopes.
From Research to
Networking
Ayman provides valuable
advice for individuals
looking to make a career
transition or switch
industries, in the following
breakdown of
recommendations:
• Educate Yourself: Start by
thoroughly educating
yourself about the new
industry, company, or
professional ield you're
targeting. Understand the
available job roles,
required quali ications,
where job listings are
posted, and the typical
success rates and
timelines for job
placements. You could
utilize platforms like
LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and
similar resources for
research.
• Identify Required
Competencies: Clearly
identify the competencies,
attributes, and
experiences required in
the new industry or
profession you're
pursuing. This step helps
you your
map
quali ications and skills
with the industry's
demands.
• Take an Inventory: Assess
your own capabilities,
including your education,
certi ications, work
experiences, projects, and
competencies that are
relevant to your career
transition. This inventory
will serve as the
foundation for your job
search and self-
presentation.
• Brand Yourself: Tailor
your CV (resume) with
relevant buzzwords and
content that re lects the
desired job features and
requirements of the
industry or dream job
you're targeting. Also,
revisit and update your
LinkedIn pro ile to align
with your new career
goals.
• Build Your Network:
Actively seek out and
connect with
professionals in the new
industry or profession.
Build a relevant network
that includes individuals
working in target job
roles. Networking helps
you gain insights into
industry learn
speci ics,
the industry's language,
and become visible to
potential employers.
• Prepare for Interviews:
Study and prepare for
interviews by thoroughly
understanding the
requirements outlined in
step 2. This preparation
will enable you to
communicate your
quali ications and
experiences during
interviews effectively.
Ayman emphasizes the
importance of crafting a
compelling CV, as it plays a
crucial role in capturing the
attention of recruiters.
Recruiters typically spend
initially only a few seconds
reviewing the CV to decide
whether they continue
reading, so including eye-
catching buzzwords and
features is essential. A well-
crafted CV increases your
chances of making a
positive impression and
advancing in the hiring
process.
Ethical Coaching and
Career Development

is rooted in genuine care for
people's careers, supported
by industry standards,
references, and years of
experience. His passion for
nurturing human capital
has become a lifestyle
rather than just a

career decisions is at the
core of Ayman's life
interests.
The true measure of
Ayman's coaching success
often comes from the
feedback he receives from
individuals, sometimes well
after the coaching program
or sessions have concluded.
The most rewarding and
af irming cases are when
individuals return for
coaching to pursue new
career aspirations, building
upon the success and
contentment they achieved
through previous coaching
experiences.
Ayman's commitment to
making a positive impact on
people's careers and lives is
evident in their dedication
to ethical coaching and their
genuine concern for
individuals' professional
growth and well-being.
The Growing Importance
of Technology Mastery
Ayman recognizes that
technology has evolved into
a crucial driver across all
industries and professions.
The effective utilization of
technology has become as
essential as mastering the
language of business in
today's world. Ayman
emphasizes the importance
of embracing technology in
all its forms, particularly in
the context of one's career.
Furthermore, they
acknowledge that the
emergence of arti icial
intelligence (AI) is a
prominent and imminent
trend.
To maintain a leading
edge in one's career, Ayman
advises individuals to
embrace technology and
cultivate a passion for its
application wholeheartedly.
Additionally, he stresses the
signi icance of acquiring the
skills and knowledge
required to effectively
harness AI's capabilities, as
this will be increasingly
essential in the evolving
landscape of work and
industry.
The Profound Role of a
Career Coach
Ayman holds a fundamental
belief in the signi icance of
his role as a career coach,
recognizing that the
profession is unique in its
focus on the human being,
who is arguably the most
valuable and variable asset
in any community or
organization. This
perspective leads Ayman to
emphasize the importance
of genuine and profound
belief in the individuals they
coach.
In Ayman's view, career
coaches should have
unwavering faith in the
potential of the individuals
they work with, offering
sincere and substantial
support while empowering
them to take control of their
own journey. This approach
highlights the deeply
personal and transformative
nature of career coaching,
where the coach's belief in
their clients can be a
powerful catalyst for
positive change.
Convincing one to
direct their
investment to self
education and
learning equally to
life style, new car,
etc. is a rewarding
achievement.

aspects of career coaching
and the importance of
maintaining professional
standards.
De ining Career Coaching
Before we explore the ethics
of career coaching, it's
22. The Ethical Foundation of
Career Coaching
Ethical considerations form
the bedrock of any
profession, and career
coaching is no exception.
Ethical behavior in career
coaching involves a
commitment to doing what
is right and just for the
bene it of the client. Here
are some key ethical
principles that career
coaches must adhere to:
• Career coaches must
respect their clients'
autonomy, which means
recognizing the client's
right to make choices
about their career path.
Coaches should provide
information and guidance,
but the inal decisions
should always rest with
the client.
• Protecting client
con identiality is crucial.
Coaches should create a
safe and con idential
space where clients can
share their concerns,
fears, and aspirations
without fear of their
information being
disclosed to others.
• Career coaches should
possess the necessary
skills, knowledge, and
experience to serve their
clients effectively. They
should stay up to date
with industry trends and
continuously improve
their coaching techniques.
• Clients should have a
clear understanding of the
coaching process, its
goals, and potential
outcomes. Coaches must
obtain informed consent
from clients before
starting the coaching
relationship.
• Career coaches must
avoid situations where
their personal interests or
biases could con lict with
the best interests of the
client. This includes not
promoting or endorsing
products or services
solely for inancial gain.
• Coaches should invest in
their own professional
development to better
serve their clients. This
includes pursuing
additional training,
obtaining certi ications,
and participating in
supervision or peer
consultation.
• Coaches must not
discriminate against
clients based on factors
such as race, gender,
religion, sexual
orientation, or age. They
should provide equal
support to all clients.
Common Ethical
Dilemmas in Career
Coaching
Career coaching is a
dynamic ield that often
presents coaches with
complex ethical dilemmas.
Here are a few examples:
• Coaches may face
situations where they
discover that the client's
career goals may pose a
risk to themselves or
others. In such cases,
coaches must decide how
to balance client
con identiality with the
safety and well-being of
others.
• Coaches may be tempted
to coach clients on topics
or in areas where they
lack expertise.
Maintaining professional
standards means
recognizing one's
limitations and referring
clients to other
professionals when
necessary.
• Coaches should avoid
imposing their personal
values on clients. It's
essential to remain
impartial and guide
clients to make decisions
aligned with their own
values, even if they differ
from the coach's.
• Coaches should not
encourage clients to
become overly dependent
on them. A professional
coach's goal should be to
empower clients to
develop their problem-
solving and decision-
making skills
independently.
Maintaining Ethical
Standards in Career
Coaching
To maintain ethical
standards in career
coaching, coaches must
adhere to the principles
outlined above. Here are
some practical steps to
ensure ethical conduct in
this ield:
• Stay informed about the
latest trends and
techniques in career
coaching by attending
workshops, webinars, and
courses. Consider
obtaining certi ication
from a reputable coaching
organization.
• Engage in regular
supervision or
consultation with peers or
mentors. This can help
you navigate complex
ethical situations and
receive guidance from
experienced
professionals.
• Create a personal code of
ethics that re lects your
commitment to ethical
conduct. Share this code
with your clients to build
trust and transparency.
• At the beginning of the
coaching relationship,
ensure that clients fully
understand the process
and their rights. Clearly
de ine the boundaries of
the coaching relationship
to prevent any
misunderstandings.
• Keep detailed records of
coaching sessions,
including client progress,
agreements, and any
issues discussed. This
documentation can be
invaluable in case of
ethical disputes.
Continuously self-re lect
on your coaching practice.
Ask yourself if you are truly
acting in the best interests
of your clients. Seek
feedback and be open to
making improvements.
Conclusion
Ethical behavior is at the
heart of a successful career
coaching practice. By
maintaining professional
standards and adhering to
ethical principles, career
coaches can help clients
achieve their career goals
with integrity and trust. In a
world where ethical
conduct is more critical
than ever, career coaches
play a vital role in guiding
individuals towards
ful illing and ethical
professional lives.

25. Interview with TEV
Imad's journey into the
world of coaching and
personal development
began at the University of
Concordia in Montreal,
Canada. Here, he pursued a
master's degree in
telecommunication
engineering, a seemingly
unrelated ield to what
would eventually become
his life's passion. It was
during these academic
years that Imad discovered
his knack for teaching while
working as a teacher's
assistant for Electronics II,
under the guidance of
Professor Rabin Raut.
His journey was
unconventional, to say the
least. Imad worked at a
coffee shop to make ends
meet, a place that would
later become a part of his
journey as a tutor and
manager at Ace It Tutoring
in Montreal. This was the
stepping stone for his foray
into the world of education
and self-improvement. He
organized tutoring sessions
at the very same coffee
shop where he had once
served lattes, showcasing
his resilience and determi-
nation to follow his passion.
But it wasn't just in the
world of academia that
Imad shone. He
demonstrated his
marketing acumen by
promoting Starbucks's
pioneering sandwich in
Montreal through Ace It
Tutoring, showcasing his
versatility and business
savvy.
Imad's thirst for
knowledge and self-
improvement led him to
meet some of the world's
foremost experts in
personal development. He
had the privilege of crossing
paths with the legendary
Jim Rohn, an American
entrepreneur and
motivational speaker. Later,
Imad found his mentor in
none other than Tony
Robbins, the globally
renowned life and business
strategist who had himself
learned under Jim Rohn.
Whilst being CEO of
SucceednLead, he is a
leading corporate trainer in
Canada and the MENA
region, a certi ied Neuro-
Linguistic Programming
(NLP) practitioner, an
author, and Lebanon's top
life coach and social media
in luencer. He has left an
indelible mark on
organizations and
individuals alike, helping
them unlock their potential
and embrace success.
Below are the highlights of
the interview:
Please tell us about your
journey since its
beginning.
In 2010, after earning a
Master's degree in
Telecommunication
Engineering from
Concordia- Canada, and
working brie ly as an
Engineer, I quit everything
to follow my purpose.
I started career-coaching
university students because
I was a Teaching Assistant
at Concordia with a great
reputation. Within 12 years
of coaching, I gained 6
international accreditations
from well-renowned
institutions and gradually
advanced toward coaching
leaders and executives at
multinational companies.
What inspired you to
become a leadership and
executive coach?
I started my career by
coaching university
students who didn't have
jobs then. Later, he
transitioned into coaching
employees, then their
managers, then their
executives. It didn't happen
overnight. From one side, I
studied to have the right
knowledge and tools, and
from the other side, each
level prepared me for the
next level of my career.
Through coaching at each
level of the corporate world,
I arrived at Leadership and
executive coaching. My
slogan is "Transforming
People and Organizations,"
and by coaching leaders, I
am helping to create this
transformation all across
the organization.
But how can I coach
people to become better
leaders if I am not a leader
myself? - I founded different
companies, one of which is
SucceednLead, a training
and coaching consultancy
that co-creates customized
training programs.
I had to become a better
leader for
SucceednLead—to
understand our people,
inspire them, coach them,
mobilize them, and lead
them. I became a better
leadership coach because I
also became a better leader.
I understand, practice, and
live leadership.
I don't claim to be a great
leader—not at all. I've failed
many times, but this has
enriched my leadership
experience to help my
clients avoid such mistakes.
How do you stay current
with the latest research
and trends in the ield of
leadership and executive
coaching?
I read extensively (1000
books since the age of 12),
attended workshops and
webinars, achieved
certi ications (Institute of
Leadership & Management,
Harvard Business School
Online, International
Finance Corporation, etc.),
and I've always hired more
experienced coaches to
coach me.
One more important thing
I learned through coaching
other leaders coaching is a
two-way relationship, and
by coaching others, I also
learn from their challenges,
mistakes, and goals.
What challenges have you
come across, and how did
you overcome them?
When I started my coaching
career 12 years ago, it
wasn't as mainstream as it
is today. Most people didn't
understand it and didn't
really know they needed it.
Moreover, I was an Engineer
with a Master's degree and
a career ahead of me. I left
everything behind me. The
irst challenge was my inner
fears and whether, after
leaving engineering, I would
succeed in an industry that
was relatively new.
The other challenge was
returning from Canada to
Lebanon. No one knew
about me then, and I had to
start from scratch. The
latest challenges were the
inancial breakdown in
Lebanon and Beirut's
explosion. I had to start over
again. But I didn't allow any
of that to prevent me from
The Education View October 2023

achieving my goals. All of
these shaped my
personality and my
leadership abilities.
Leadership is shaped and
transformed during tough
times, challenges, and
crises.
What do you believe are
the most important
qualities of a successful
coach?
• Not to be the hero of their
client. To let clients do the
work themselves. Coaches
might make the mistake of
doing the work for their
clients. Although it's
helpful in the short term,
clients aren't empowered
in the long term because
they didn't learn to do it
themselves. Most of them
fail after the coaching is
done.
• To positively challenge
their clients. I always tell
my clients, "I am not here
for you to like me. I am here
to help you do what you
hired me for to become a
better leader, and this
requires changing what
you're doing today. Hence, I
will challenge you with love
and respect, even if you
don't like me at the
moment. You will thank me
later."
At the beginning of our
coaching program, they
signed a coaching
agreement. Among the
things it states is to give me
permission to positively and
respectfully challenge you.
How do you differentiate
instructions to meet the
needs of different clients?
I don't have a set agenda for
my coaching clients. I take
the time to learn about
them at the beginning of our
program, understand what
they do, and craft a general
program of what they need
to achieve their leadership
goals. This is the core. But I
also keep the coaching
conversation open to allow
for more personalization,
one session at a time. Each
session is a chance to go
deeper, to understand them
better, and to help them
achieve their results in a
way that aligns with them,
not me.
Kindly mention some of
your major achievements,
accolades, and recogni-
tions as a leadership and
executive coach.
I've worked with top
leaders and executives
worldwide, from Australia,
Switzerland, Canada, the
UK, the UAE, Lebanon, etc.,
and from many different
industries. Some of them
were country managers;
others were CFOs, COOs,
CEOs, etc. My latest client is
a Board Member of a
Publicly Traded company.
My clients work for
companies like Holcim,
Rogers, Johnson & Johnson,
Genpharm, Thomson
Reuters, etc. Each of them
literally transformed their
leadership skills and helped
achieve better business
results by mobilizing their
teams ef iciently and
effectively. I am also proud
of their generous
testimonials and
recommendations.
What would be your
advice to people
struggling in their
leadership positions?
Even if you were born with
leadership skills, it's still not
enough to be a great leader.
Leadership is an attitude
and behavior that requires
the application of speci ic
tools and frameworks to
make the results concrete.
You can study the best
leadership books, but if you
don't select/build the right
team, coach them
individually, learn how to
mobilize/lead each
differently based on
different leadership styles,
think proactively and
strategically, understand the
"triangulation relationship"
between YOU, Your team,
and the Company's Business
Goals, you'll eventually fail.
"Leadership doesn't
happen in a day, but daily."
Can you shed some light
on your future plans?
My future plan is to coach
more Board Members. As I
mentioned, I climbed the
corporate ladder, coaching
each level of an organization
all the way up to coaching
CEOs. After studying to
become an IFC certi ied
Board Director, I realized
that decisions at the board
level can help create
transformation in an
organization (or break an
organization). Decisions
taken by the board have a
chain effect across the
corporate hierarchy. So by
coaching board members, I
am helping to shape those
decisions.
Also, to grow and lead
SucceednLead to become
known regionally as one of
the best providers of
customized training
programs.
What makes you and your
coaching methodology
different from others?
In brief:
• It's results-oriented (seven
years of Engineering
taught me to transform
ideas into reality)
• Real and concrete
(relevant to real-world
challenges and goals)
• Very customized to the
leader
• Supported by elite
education and enriched
with massive experience
• Has a track record of
success stories.
Leadership is an
attitude and behavior
that requires the
application of specific
tools and frameworks
to make the results
concrete.

June Parker, General

Leadership - CLA, is a
Senior Leader with over 20
years of experience working
in Australia and overseas
and is one of the prominent
names among career
coaches.
Below are the highlights of
our interview:
Please tell us about your
journey since its
beginning.
As a young girl, my friends
always came to me when
they needed practical and
honest advice. It was clear
to me from an early age that
my natural 'happy place'
was linked to my curiosity
for understanding how
people were feeling, why
they felt that way, and what
could be done to make them
feel more positive. It's no
surprise, then, that my
career journey would
involve working with people
in human resources,
coaching, and development
capacity.
An additional layer of
understanding gained along
the way has been my strong
commercial focus.
Combining my passion for
business with my
fascination for people has
led me to work on growing
the capability of
organizations across sales,
recruitment, people
advisory, and coaching.
What inspired you to
become a career coach?
My coaching is inspired by
the privilege of being able to
see and bring to light the
strength and abilities of
others, even when they can't
see it. I remember my father
talking about how as a
young man, he was
encouraged and inancially
supported by his boss to
pursue further education
and was mentored to take
on leadership
responsibilities.
This changed his life and,
in turn, mine. He was the
irst in his family of four to
have any formal
quali ications. The impact of
this mentorship stuck with
me. I was amazed that one
person could change
someone's life in such a
profound manner simply by
caring enough to see the
potential in them.
How do you stay current
with the latest research
and trends in the ield of
career coaching?
I read a lot! I also attend
regular conferences, both in
person and online, such as
WBECs. I am also incredibly
lucky that our organization,
Future Leadership, is at the
forefront of research around
future leadership
capabilities and has even
developed its own
capability framework.
We have a podcast
interviewing prominent
thought leaders, and we are
continually researching best
practices through CLA when
it comes to careers, culture,
and leadership.
Future Leadership also
encompasses a search irm
and an interim management
practice. This means that
every day, my colleagues are
talking to boards, CEO, and
Executives about their
strategic people needs. We
as a result, I have irst-hand
knowledge of what
employers are looking for
and why.
What challenges have you
come across, and how did
you overcome them?
I reframe challenges as
opportunities to grow and
learn. As a result, all of my
challenges have given me a
lived experience to draw
from in my coaching. When

some tough times (and

How do you incorporate
technology into your
coaching?
At CLA, we use technology
in a variety of ways. We
have two online learning
platforms, one called Career
Accelerator and the other
called Executive Accelerator.
These resource platforms
are open to our coaches'
community for support
beyond the session.
They house videos,
podcasts, eBooks, written
resources, checklists, etc. –
everything someone needs
to change their role or
career. We also have an app
called Future Exchange,
which provides regular
podcasts, blogs, and video
insights, and acts as a
virtual community of
support. Other more
practical areas include
automatic coach scheduling,
databases, etc.
How do you differentiate
instruction to meet the
needs of different clients?
Just as every individual is
unique, so is every client
organization and every role.
It is important, therefore, to
take the time to understand
organizational nuances,
backgrounds, and
complexities. When
someone is going for an
interview, my advice is
always to analyze what is
important for success in
that speci ic role and to
understand the
organization's values and
culture. The person being
interviewed needs to think
less about what they have
achieved, and more about
what they have done that is
important to the hiring
organization. What is it that
will deliver the success the
organization is looking for?
For example, if an
organization is in growth
mode, speaking about
restructuring and
downsizing will miss the
mark.
Sharing examples of being
lexible and agile during
growth is likely to resonate
much better. For internal
promotions, people need to

be clear about what made
them successful in their
current role and how this
differs developmentally
from the skills or
capabilities required for the
next role. Signalling an
openness to unlearning and
relearning is key to career
progression.
Kindly mention some of
your major achievements,
accolades, and
recognitions as a career
coach.
Whilst I have presented at
conferences, sat on
committees, built
businesses, authored
eBooks, and created
technology solutions, my
biggest achievements are
helping people get roles
they doubted they could
and then supporting them
to be successful in the role.
These people are
numerous, including
someone obtaining a CEO
role when prior to meeting
me, they didn't believe it
was possible. Or someone is
transferring their career
from Finance into the
exciting space of Cyber
Security and or helping
someone set up their own
business having left the paid
workforce. And helping
another who, in being
promoted, found they
needed to navigate the
politics of their new
executive role skilfully.
I get huge intrinsic
satisfaction from helping
people build their
con idence and achieve in
their roles; I consider their
feedback and thanks as
being my highest accolade.
Can you shed some light
on your future plans?
For my own future plans, I
want to continue to learn
and grow. I want to build
the Coaching practice of
CLA and continue to add
value for my clients.
What makes you and your
coaching methodology
different from others?
Whilst I use models and
frameworks like other
coaches, I think the
difference is my ability to
quickly see the current
situation my clients ind
themselves in, uncover
where they want to go and
see what's needed to get
there. I join the dots on
what may hold them back
and practically advise them
on what they need to do,
think, and feel to achieve
the outcome they want. I am
empathic yet direct. I hold a
mirror to people and then
hold them to account to step
up.
I have a deep background
in coaching and
development, which means
I have a great tool kit of
models, frameworks,
analogies, stories, and
experience to draw from to
use at the right time with
the right person. I studied
business, HR, leadership,
neuroscience, and NLP – I
draw from all of this in my
coaching. I have also run
businesses, been on
executive teams, and
reported to boards, so I
have broad lived experience.
One thing I need to be is
more prescriptive. My
coaching lows with the
need of the client. This
means that for one person,
it may be talking about
above and below-the-line
thinking or helping them to
recognize their negativity
bias. For others, it might be
how to navigate working
within an executive team or
building their con idence. I
am mindful that I am a
coach, not a friend. So, I
enjoy time-bound coaching
programs with clear
objectives and goals.

in thriving in this setting by
assisting with job hunting
and money management.
Skills are becoming more

Industry transformation is
still being driven by
automation and arti icial

Soft talents like
communication, creativity,
and emotional intelligence
gain value as mundane jobs
are automated. In order to
assist people in developing
these abilities, career
coaches are essential.
The necessity for ongoing
education is not going away.
Career counsellors urge
people to view education as
a continuous pursuit
throughout their lives.
The Importance of
Adaptation
Not only is it necessary to
adapt to the changing
employment market to

Career Coaches to Follow
in 2023,' to know more
about his journey.
Below are the highlights of
the interview:
Tell us about your journey
since its beginning.
I started my professional
career as a civil engineer in
2015, but I quickly realized
that it wasn't where my true
passion lay. I felt unful illed
and knew that I needed to
make a change.
In 2019, I took a leap of
faith and started my irst e-
commerce shop, selling
antiques and vintage items.
I started from scratch,
learning how to launch
shops on platforms like
WooCommerce and Shopify
by watching YouTube
tutorials. However, when I
told my friends and family
about my new venture, they
were skeptical and told me
that I wouldn't succeed.
For a year, I struggled to
make sales and paid the cost
of running the shops myself.
I realized that I needed to
ind a new approach, so I
spent six months thinking
about my strengths and
what I could offer. I realized

Career Coach
n the ever-evolving
Ilandscape of today's
professional world,
navigating a successful
career path can be both
exhilarating and
challenging. As individuals
strive to ind their true
passion, maximize their
potential, and achieve their
career goals, the need for
expert guidance and
support becomes
increasingly apparent. This
37. that I had a talent for
consulting and teaching
others, and I gained
valuable experience through
my e-commerce journey.
The big struggle was
iguring out where to start. I
took a free course on
Udemy on how to create
courses and then invested
in good lighting and a
quality camera to produce
high-quality content. After
three months of trying and
testing, I uploaded my irst
course on Udemy. I
discovered that LinkedIn
was a great platform, but
many people were not
aware of its potential.
Today, I have four courses
and over 1500 followers on
Twitter and over 3200
followers on LinkedIn. It's
been a challenging journey,
but I am proud of what I
have achieved so far and
excited to see what the
future holds.
What inspired you to
become a career coach?
I was inspired to become a
career coach by my own
personal experiences. I had
a dif icult time inding my
way in my career, and I
eventually found my
passion in marketing. I want
to help other people avoid
the same struggles that I
went through, and I want to
help them ind their passion
in their careers.
I also believe that there is
a great need for career
coaches in today's world.
The job market is constantly
changing, and it can be
dif icult for people to keep
up with the latest trends.
Career coaches can help
people to identify their
skills and interests and to
develop a plan for their
career development.
How do you stay current
with the latest research
and trends in the ield of
career coaching?
I stay current with the latest
research and trends in the
ield of career coaching by
reading industry
publications, attending
conferences, and taking
continuous education
courses. I also regularly
connect with other career
coaches to share ideas and
best practices.
I am always looking for
ways to stay ahead of the
curve, and I am committed
to providing my clients with
the best possible service.
What challenges have you
come across, and how did
you overcome them?
One of the biggest
challenges I have faced as a
career coach is helping
clients who are struggling
with self-doubt. I have
learned that it is important
to build rapport with clients
and to create a safe space
where they can feel
comfortable sharing their
thoughts and feelings. I also
help clients to identify their
strengths and to set realistic
goals.
How do you incorporate
technology into your
coaching?
I incorporate technology
into my coaching by using
online platforms to deliver
assessments, track progress,
and provide resources. I
also use video conferencing
to meet with clients who are
not located near me.
What do you believe are
the most important
qualities of a successful
career coach?
The most important quali-
ties of a successful career
coach are empathy, listening
skills, and problem-solving
skills. I also believe that it is
important for career
coaches to be up-to-date on
the latest research and
trends in the ield.
How do you differentiate
instruction to meet the
needs of different clients?
I differentiate instruction to
meet the needs of different
clients by using a variety of
coaching methods. I might
use a more traditional one-
on-one coaching approach
with some clients, while I
might use a more group-
based coaching approach
with others. I also tailor my
coaching style to the
speci ic needs of each client.
For example, if a client is
struggling with self-doubt, I
might focus on helping them
to build their con idence. If
a client is looking for a new
career, I might help them to
identify their skills and
interests and to develop a
plan for their career
development.
What makes you and your
coaching methodology
different from others?
I believe that what makes
me and my coaching
methodology different from
others is my focus on
helping clients to ind their
passion in their careers. I
also believe that my
coaching style is very client-
centered, and I tailor my
approach to the speci ic
needs of each client.
Kindly mention some of
your major achievements,
accolades, and
recognitions as a career
coach.
Some of my major
achievements, accolades,
and recognitions as a career
coach include:
• I helped more than 100
fresh graduates from the
Middle East ind jobs on
LinkedIn.
• I have provided more
than 150 free
consultations to people
who are struggling to ind
their passion in their
careers.
What would be your
advice to people
struggling to ind the right
career path?
My advice to people
struggling to ind the right
career path is to start by
exploring their interests
and values. What are you
passionate about? What are
you good at? What are your
values? Once you have a
better understanding of
yourself, you can start to
explore different career
options.
There are many resources
available to help you with
this, such as online
assessments, career
counseling, and networking.
Can you shed some light
on your future plans?
My future plans include
continuing to grow my
career coaching business
and helping more people
ind their passion in their
careers. I also plan to write
a book about my
experiences as a career
coach.
