offices across Angola within 6 month deadline to a $600k budget.

a multi-vendor solutions, including Zyxel 100 USG, Checkpoint.
- Introduced standards relating to IT and non IT procedures leading to
improved network efficiency and a 20% reduction in downtime.
- Day-to-day management of 42 servers achieving a 25% reduction in
serious system crashes within a 12 month period.
- Implemented a new Disaster Recovery plan which was rolled out across
the company nationwide.

Within this multi-national, I had the responsibility of providing and maintaining
the management of the IT infrastructure and services nationwide, which involved
the head office and 25 different branch offices. My main duties was to coordinate
projects, which may included but not limited to policies, procedures, architecture,
resource management, department budget control and implementations, all of
which can be outlined in the project schedule. In case of incidents, I had the duty
to act as incident manager within the IT team, ensuring that the correct resources
are available to perform the resolution work.

Position: IT Infrastructure Administrator
Duties in this multinational company involved first/second level support of MS
office 2003/2007 packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and
OWA) and general LAN/WAN administration, which consists of nine different sites
and over 850 users. The environment is based on Windows 2000 and Windows
2003 Server, which involves Active Directory administration (addition and
deletion of Domain controllers, networked PCs/devices). DHCP, DNS, FTP sites
configuration and troubleshooting.
MS Exchange server 2003 installation, configuration, proactive maintenance and
diagnostic of all mail servers (this involves additions/deletions of Exchange Front-
end and Back-end Servers), backup/and or restoration of the system state and
information store using Symantec LiveState System Recovery for Server,
defragmentation of information stores, creation of mailboxes and troubleshooting
general Outlook issues), solving PDAs connectivity/synchronization issues (Active
Sync is most used). Creation of Prism software installation packages.
Disaster Recovery implementation on the main file servers using a combination of
Raid 0+1 and daily backups of data using VERITAS BACKUP V.9. Network Servers
and Client protection with Shophos Enterprise Anti virus V.6.5.7.
Wireless Access Points, Citrix Clients configuration and troubleshooting
connection issues. Switches and Router configuration (including VLANs on 2550
series switches and Cisco 2800 and 3600). Configuration of, VPN configuration
and troubleshooting. Very good understanding of Cisco Internetworking
Operating System (IOS) Access control lists , intrusion detection and web filtering

technologies, TCP/IP protocol suit and the most widely used routing protocols
including RIP, IGRP, EIGRP.
