What would the product or service be ¿ Describe its 
characteristics and the reason why you choose that 
product/service? 
• The product line that we would choose would be of desserts 
and products made of coffee. 
• The main product would be a coffee flan or coffee custard 
which would be made of 100% Colombian coffee. It is well 
known that the Colombian coffee is one of the world’s best 
coffees and ever for some people, simply the best. This 
industry sells millions every year and every time, increasing the 
population that consumes it and its demand.
IF YOU HAD THE POSSIBILITY TO EXPORT YOUR 
PRODUCT OR SERVICE WHICH COUNTRY WOULD 
YOU EXPORT IT TO? WHY? 
• We would export it to United States. The coffee represents a 
44,1% of the agricultural industry that Colombia exports every 
year being the US the principal and most significant destination 
of these products with a participation of 46,2% out of the total 
exportation of this industry. We could also take advantage of 
the FTA (TLC) between Colombia and the US. 
• The coffee is currently second in the list of the products of 
which their international demand and exportations from 
Colombia have increase the most during this year.
WHY DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL 
WITH THIS BUSINESS IDEA? 
• We consider that it is an innovative idea and it is also 
a business opportunity that has not been well 
explored or exploited. Colombia currently sells and 
exports a lot of raw coffee, but not as many products 
made of coffee as it could.
HOW YOU WOULD BE CONTRIBUTING TO 
COLOMBIA ECONOMY WITH THIS IDEA? 
There are so many Colombian families living of the 
agricultural industry and specifically of the production 
and harvesting of coffee. By increasing its demand, we 
can contribute to Colombia’s economy by promoting 
this industry and creating new jobs needed for the 
production and development of our project.
