2. INTRODUCTIO
N
My name is Diamond Allen, and I currently do
not have a major because I am still in
highschool.
3. Motivation To Become an Active Participant
Voice
I want to be able to
have a say in what
goes on in the
environment that I am
living in .
Change
More participation
means that more
peoples’ opinions can
be taken into account,
so that more changes
for policies and in

to become a Texas house

a minimum of 12 months in
the district he or she will
represent. I thought that

Voter turnout in local
elections in Texas is
generally pretty low. I
was unaware of this
because I have only
lived in very small
towns were the
people of the towns
are usually very
involved in the local
government.

5. One political issue that is most important to consider for
future generations in Texas is the economy. Texas is
quickly rising on the list of the most expensive states to
live in, in the U.S. as more people are moving to the
state, and this will make it even harder for the future
generations to live stabley in Texas

6. I think that Texas plays a pretty big role in the federal
government decision making process because of the
success the state has had with law making, they usually
have a great deal of support.
