Delighted to be here with you this evening and thank you for coming along a little early at short notice. I am studying by night myself and have only empathy for you being stuck in a lecture on an evening like this!
Have any heard me speak before at CIMA evenings?
My name is Ed Heffernan, headed up ther A&F division of Morgan McKinley in Cork Tokyo and Dublin before leaving recently to start up my own recruitment practice Barden – specialisting in the A&F area
Working at the moment with the faculty here and Denise and her team in Careers to put together some additional modules such as today to try and provide a deeper insight into career decisions for accountant
Ultimately so that you, the accounting leaders of tomorrow are prepared with the right information and advice so as to make the most educated decision possible as you grow you careers – and subsequently so that DBS can give their students a competitive edge in the market
Recruitment companies the world over can provide you with advice on CV prep, interview prep etc….and job descriptions are readily available online through a variety of souces – today I am hoping that we can go beyond the basics and get under the skin of what actually really matters when you are weighing up options.
