1. PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
The production schedule is important within the pre-production stage as it allows me to plan each
day prior to filming. I have crafted my schedule to have 2 days back to back meaning I can look back
over footage on the first evening then refilm any parts if we have time on the second day.
This is efficient within filming as it allows the director to concentrate on different sections at
a time rather than not finishing parts.

BUDGET
Budgeting is elemental within the film industry due to the large timescale the directors
have to create the film. All directors and their team, budget and plan their funds prior to
shooting the film. This way they have enlarged their chances of success. Films have a large
budget because of the shear amount of work that is needed to make the film, each production
company needs many workers to edit the film as well as actors and makeup artists. For my
production, I will have a minimal timescale with plenty of deadlines. The budget for my production
will be very limited as the props and costumes are limited.
Directors often separate their budget into sections based upon the quality of their
actors and staff as well as their equipment used. The budget for my film will be very
minimal as by using everyday clothing and props allows the genre and everyday nature
to be portrayed. I will hire camera and lighting equipment from the school which I will work closely
with. Having a strong bond between the school and my team will allow me to hire equipment when
I need to. Dependent on timings I will hire equipment only when it is necessary as this will increase
my efficiency within the filming progress. Furthermore, I will need to blueprint a plan with clear
deadlines. As I am hiring the camera I will need to let the owner of the camera equipment know in
advance to ensure I can hire them when I want.
I will be creating a pro-bono production therefore I will not pay any actors or budget any money
towards equipment. My actors will be young and aspiring actors who hope to go into the drama
industry. By not spending any money, eliminates the planning / budgeting procedure. This way I can
2. reduce my pre-production planning stage by one element to ensure I will have the optimum time
to film and ultimately edit the production.
