1. How did you attract/address
your audience?
BY DANIEL ROBB
2. Reaching the target audience
Our film involved high tempo action packed sequences therefore appealing to the
typical action genre demographic as the intensity potentially spikes their
emotions.
Using a scenario of escape within the opening shots was considered to be the
optimal choice when planning our production as the drama is released
instantaneously
3. Audience feedback
The insertion of presenting a chaos deriving from an imminent threat reinforced a
greater suspense amongst the audience as revealed by their feedback.
“The film included constant action scenes which were exciting.”
4. Positive Feedback
Regarding Narrative- “The narrative was non linear and more complex… enhance
meaning”
Regarding Continuity- “Continuity was maintained throughout”
Regarding Editing- “The edits between clips were smooth and transitioned well.”
5. Negative Feedback
The general audience felt that the unrealistic elements contributed significantly to
a “lower quality” end product.
Aspects such as the price of drugs and head explosion were viewed by some as
too comedic and presented in a “cheesy way”.
6. Improvements
Judging from the general feedback and the final product it could be argued that if
we implemented more practical effects and focused our energy on elevating the
emotions increasingly more so then the film we would have developed may have
become more successful.
