• Designed, deployed, and maintained a SAN Based Active/Active Database Cluster; Clustered Microsoft SQL Server
(versions: 2014/2016) in production.
• Organized, created, and deployed 2 EMC Storage Area Networks and Windows Storage Servers for production SQL
Clustered/High Availability Web resources.
• Responsible for the administration and maintenance of production and development SQL servers to improve
performance, troubleshoot and perform regular maintenance using original T-SQL scripts, SQL Jobs, performance
monitor (SQL counters) and third party utilities. Also, developed scripts and jobs for attended and unattended
deployment of database object changes, along with other routine maintenance, coordinated with the Development team.
• Designed, deployed, upgraded and maintained Exchange Server 2010 for multiple domains. Also, experience testing and
migrating from Exchange Server 2007. Exposed to a variety of Exchange Server failure modes and successful repairs
using well-tended backups.
• Migrated company Domain and email from an on-site Exchange server to Office 365. Also, migrated all local file
resources to OneDrive for ease of use by all traveling, in-office or remotely working employees. All 7+ years of
company email was moved from Exchange to the cloud and DNS configured per Office 365 requirements for email and
website functionality.
• Designed, built and grew an AD domain dedicated to Microsoft Terminal Services users. Terminal Servers were built
with redundancy in mind using Microsoft Cluster Services and Network Load Balancing.
• Experience installing and using Redmine Project Management, Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, Spiceworks Helpdesk and
Network Monitoring/Inventory and DotNetNuke, all in a production environment.
• Managed over 200 users across multiple AD domains.
2. • Responsible for the security of a large volume of highly sensitive data consisting of employee census information,
including social security numbers, dates of birth, names and addresses; constant handling of such data during the
import/export process, backups, restores and troubleshooting.
• Implemented SonicWALL NSA High Availability for the data center and WAN Failover for the company office;
monitored security compliance according to policies.
• Engineered connectivity between 3 sites using SonicWALL NSA series firewalls Enhanced OS and site-to-site VPN,
including VPN to Microsoft Azure; prepared and maintained systems documentation.
• Assumed responsibility for designing and deploying a high availability web server solution using IIS and Application
Request Routing with Network Load Balancing.
• Designed and handled the deployment and management of VMWare for client-facing servers; transitioned from
VMWare to Hyper-V for all production and development services.
