  • #4 The intention here is to hit a couple quick points for each. CAVEAT: I am aware of a few of the items in this presentation, though I have not used them and am far from an expert!
  • #6 The intention here is to hit a couple quick points for each.
  • #9 Part of new “Collection” palette
  • #13 Steven: you can replace any ppl's your using with the source lvlib. PPL like building your source code into a dll. the vi's can still be used in code, but they no longer have block diagrams (usually) and can't be debugged (usually) it's a method to componentize an application and get more code reuse across projects, but the technology isn't very easy to use and it's a ton of overhead and make work It's been tough in the past to use ppl's because it essentially makes your development enviornment more difficult to troubleshoot. this is a development environment improvement where NI has enabled people to swap between them for troubleshooting/building purposes.I think it's very relevant to only the advanced users. Most people don't even use ppls... and maybe for good reason

  • #15  http://www.ni.com/documentation/en/labview/latest/application-builder/debugging-an-executable/
  • #18 Export the hardware configuration of a target—After you configure a hardware system in SystemDesigner, capture the hardware dependencies in an NI Hardware Configuration file (.nihwcfg) and deploy it to another system to apply.

  • #20 And for those of you who use additional software platforms, outside of the NI lineup, here is an updated slide to show where some of these other tools can be used. This includes C and C++, Mathworks, and Python for automated and ad-hoc test software. They also include Microsoft Azure for System and Data Management.

  • #23 The latest release of SystemLink includes the new SystemLink Asset Module. This additional module  allows users to centrally track and manage test assets including usage information and calibration data along with a new dashboard view that provides quick scans of relevant insights, such as connection history and calibration forecast.
  • #24 New features: Test Monitoring Build custom dashboards in Test Monitor—Create and save custom dashboards in Test Monitor to see the test data most important to you. Test Monitor sidebar navigation—Easily navigate to different areas in Test Monitor using the sidebar. Save test result queries and report configurations—Store test result queries and report configurations to the Test Monitor sidebar to access later. The recent update includes new functionality within the SystemLink Test Module that reports real-time activity, with a new custom dashboard including pass/fail status and test results. In case of network interruptions, local test nodes also cache results and send them to the SystemLink server when a connection can be reestablished.
  • #25 Rebrand of DataFinder Server-- now part of SystemLink!
  • #26 ??? Is this new? Run scripts, do analysis on files. Process data while still on server.
  • #27 Along with out-of-the-box support for TestStand, the new version of SystemLink provides APIs for custom test executives written in LabVIEW, Python and .NET/C#.
  • #30 For 5G
