My career motivation and passion is for sales, marketing and customer service. I have many years of
experience. I have generated business leads, translating to sales using telemarketing. Identified the needs
of the customer and arranged demonstrations and quotations, this has been one focus of achieving good
sale targets.
Worked within all aspects of customer service, providing customers with up-to-date information on
products and store information, billing inquiries, broadband support, generating and promoting new
business opportunities and cross selling to existing customers to increase revenue.
I am excited at the prospect of working in sales again, after spending 8 years in Sri Lanka with my wife, I
am eager to start work and enthusiastic about the challenges that sales has to offer.

 Volunteered to work with young adults at risk, participated with them in workshops. Supported them in their commitment on the
program best suited to their needs.
 As a publican of the wine bar I was managing, I created a strong profile and it became one of the most affluent and popular wine

06/2008 to 02/2009 Visa administration assistant for the British High Commission, Sri Lanka.
Duties include; filing, assigning priorities, database cleansing, assisting and reporting visas with inadequate
information or suspected forgeries to senior visa officers.
02/2007 to 08/2007 Sales marketing coordinator. Dentsy, dental software developers.
Duties include; market dental software; business to business sector, the British National Health service and
private practices across UK and Europe.

07/2006 to 02/2007 Internal sales administrator. Rexel Senate Wholesale Ltd, electrical wholesales and suppliers.
Duties include; providing quotes, processing orders, actively chasing leads with potential customers and
ensuring goods are dispatched and logged. Responsible for the daily operation of the accounts area,
providing a professional, accurate & friendly service
03/2004 to 05/2006 Customer service coordinator. Capital One Bank, credit card company.
Within the Payment Assistance department, it was my responsibility to generate as much revenue as
possible whilst providing excellent customer service.
A good understanding of the Data Protection Act, Financial Services Authority and the Consumer
Protection Act was a necessary requirement.
06/2002 to 02/2004 Customer service advisor. Boots, Powergen, NTL cable company
During these years I was working as a customer service advisor for these companies, dealing with national
and international queries.
06/2001 to 06/2002 Call center coordinator, British Telecom PLC.
My role was to provide an emergency 24-hour service to customers and local authorities, to assist team
managers in coaching and developing local and international operators.
I ensured that information from local authorities was communicated across all departments and that
training complies with OFTEL and EEC laws.
1983 to 2001 Bar attendant / assistant manager and licensee
Starting off as a bar attendant I went on to become a Licensed Manager where my role included staff
recruiting, DJing & promotional work, ordering, stock taking, cash handling, banking and wages, general
maintenance, food preparation and serving customers.
