age?
• Although there are only two characters shown in the opening, they
are shown as stereotypical young adults.
• A male and female is shown which creates gender diversity.
• Later on in the film an older “boss” would be shown working with the
young adult hitman.

3. How does ”The Final Hit” adress the lack of
variety in ethnicity?
• Like with the lack of age and gender, later on in the film there will be
a more diverse cast featured.

4. What are the conventions of a Thriller/Slasher
genre?
• Fact paced editing
• Music to build up the tension
• A death in the opening, usually a “scream queen”.

5. What are the conventions of a Thriller genre
in “The Final Hit”?
• There is a death in the opening, the girl dies.
• The music has variety
• Ambient sound is used throughout to create verisimilitude
• Tension is built up until she dies.
