2. I could share with you the boring
specifics of my life.
You know, how old I am (who has time
to count all those years?), where I’m
from or perhaps begin a Cinderella
tale of how I became interested in
media.
3. I’m sorry to disappoint you, but the truth of
the matter is that the intangible gift of
communicating chose me. It’s who I am.
4. I can’t recall having an “Aha”
moment, but through a long
string of professional failures
and sleepless nights,
I decided I wanted
more.
5. I didn’t grow up in the best environments. Because
of that; I took solace in writing stories and poetry.
6. Eventually, I progressed to writing my own spin off versions of
whatever Judy Blume book was popular at the time. I didn’t have
much control over my surroundings; but I the love that I gleaned
from seeing others smile while reading my stories was amazing.
7. Long before I
learned of Full Sail
University, I
became a student
of learning how to
help others
connect with each
other, my writing
or ‘the big picture’.
|Later, I discovered
the joys of new,
innovative
technology
I fell in love with
various forms of
media and how
easy it became to
use tools like
Facebook,
Smartphones,
and a simple
digital camera to
share with those
around me.
8. While goofing off at my job as a Social Media Manager, I had to view a 15
second Full Sail University ad while waiting for my YouTube video to load.
9. The MCBS program spot set off receptors
in my brain.
My brows furrowed with confusion, then
rose with amazement
10. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I
said out loud, and to no one in
particular..
I never could have imagined that I
could go to school and have a
career doing something I’d loved
all my life
11. I picked up my office phone, dialed the number I
Googled. As I navigated through the automated prompts I
finally and quietly accepted my destiny of being great.
