As I look back at my personal history with communication technology I remember using many forms
of social media to communicate with my friends and family. Back in the day when I was in junior high

it during that time. Before I had my own cell phone I was able to have my own MySpace account. The
reason I would use MySpace is because everyone at school would use it, so I wanted to fit in with the
rest of my friends. I used MySpace to talk friends that had added me or friends of friends that I knew
about but had never met in person. I would use it to communicate with them rather than calling them
on the phone. MySpace was the site where I could portray myself in any way I wanted. I had the

Humans have been involved with genetics even before the idea of genetics existed. In the 1800s, a
monk by the name of Mendel used selection in plants and crossed them to study how traits are passed
down from parents to filial generations. Ever since then, genetics have grown over time and it has lead
to much curiosity among scientists, which have then conducted their experiments to overcome their
curiosity. That has lead to many innovations and new findings.
In the early 1920s, Fredrick Griffith conducted an experiment that proposed that bacteria are the cause
of genetic information being transferred by a process called transformation. His further researches
conducted lead him to the finding that DNA was the genetic material that passed information (Klug et
al., 2012). Avery, Mccarty and Macleod using Griffith s findings confirmed that DNA was the material
that was passed down from parents to offspring s in the form of genes. Genes are composed of alleles
that pass down traits from generation to generation.
Once alleles are inherited in a population, traits are expressed. Thus this leads to the idea of population
genetics, which is very crucial to understanding genetics. Population genetics studies the frequency of
alleles that change within a population, which influences evolution. Mathematic principles are used to
population geneticists, which predict any trends that may occur in a given population. The hardy

Although many know the physics of spinning , not many people are aware of how angular momentum
explains the physics of rotation. Now it is true that all objects have a momentum, a product of mass
and velocity. But similarly, the inertia of rotating objects is called angular momentum. When a
direction is given to a rotational speed, we call this rotational velocity, and its vector is rotational
speed. Therefore, angular momentum is the product of rotational inertia and rotational velocity, or

An example of this would be a man with his arms extended, holding weights. If his arms are extended
with weights on the end, his overall rotational inertia is relatively large and as he turns, his angular
momentum is the product of his rotational inertia and rotational velocity. If he pulls the weights in, his
rotational inertia is decreased, but his rotational speed increases. This concedes the idea of the law,
that the smaller one part is, the larger the other part must be. There are examples in sports too, like

As a feminist, it is almost to be expected that many of Angela Carter s happy ever after endings will
strike the reader with a bold feminist message. However, in The Bloody Chamber, this is not
necessarily the case. Although there are several feminist messages in the stories resolutions, these
messages are not always presented in the way one would expect, and not every female protagonist is
presented as a feminist character. By taking the roles of typically Gothic women and toying with the
presentation of female characters, many of Carter s feminist messages are not as one would expect.
The eponymous story The Bloody Chamber ends with a sense of resolution, love and happiness. The
antagonist of the story is no more, and the narrator is able to live a happy and fulfilling life with Jean
Yves. Whether the ending is truly feminist, however, is open to discussion. In one respect, the actual
resolution to the story is all down to the narrator s mother, who is presented at the story s climax as an
incredibly powerful female figure. Carter uses masculine and bestial imagery to describe the mother,
in a way that is not dissimilar to earlier imagery to describe the Marquis. The narrator refers to her
mother s hair as her white mane ; just as earlier she had referenced the Marquis s dark mane . The
juxtaposition between light and dark here is a typical example of Gothic extremes; while the Marquis

Studies have continued to prove hand hygiene to be the most effective technique for eliminating
nosocomial infections. Treatment facilities are experiencing multidrug resistant organisms at an all
time high due to a lack of proper infection prevention protocol. Nosocomial infections are the most
common complication that can arise during a hospital stay (Insert citation). A majority of developing
countries are facing multidrug resistant organisms caused by the lack of infection prevention protocol
and a large amount of pressure to provide health care in poor living and treatment conditions. Over use
of antibiotic treatment is part of the reason large numbers of multidrug resistant organisms are
appearing in the healthcare environment. Implementing more stringent infection prevention protocol,
assessing health care facilities use of proper infection control, and critically analyzing use of
antibiotics will aid in elimination of nosocomial infections and decrease the average hospital stay.

In my culture, the son is supposed to take care of my parents. However, even after 17 years, my oldest
brother Bee is still working at a low wage job, my second oldest brother Davis has moved to
Wisconsin 16 years ago and hasn t returned, and my third younger brother Doua is living in Minnesota
and is a member of a gang. My older brother Bee lives with my parents and has no motivation to
pursue for a better life for him or for my parents. He works part time and has no social interaction. He
