same, the articles are in columns so they’re
easy for the audience to read.
Normally in large letters the headline of the
article is spread across somewhere on the page
so that it grabs your attention, it’s usually
followed by a sub-heading that briefly explains
what the article will be about.

4. Conventions of perfume ads
Perfume ads typically centralise the model giving the slight element of importance and
from the slight low angle making them seem dominant. For the male advert he’s higher
than the female model to give the impression that he’s in control of her and more
important. For the female advert it’s the exact opposite; the females superior which is
shown by her height and hands around the male models neck.

Movie posters are eye-
catching so that it would

attention of anyone who saw
it.

genre of the film, in this
example we have the
characters clearly

stereotypical wizard
while using words such
as ‘imagination’ to show
clearly it’s a fantasy. Conventionally film posters
always give some indication to
when the film is due to be
released near the bottom if
the poster normally followed
by the production company’s
information.
The main character is
the focal point of the
picture, he’s also much
bigger than the other
characters to show his
importance.
There could also be
reviews and ratings
normally by well-known
people or companies to
show that the film is
highly praised.
