Computaris solution and contribution
• Computaris was chosen as system integrator and required to
deliver the new PCRF platform as a 1:1 functional copy, without
any impact on the interfaces of other systems (DPI/PCEF,
provisioning, notifications).
• The operator also requested Computaris to implement a new
service offering and develop additional services like: GPRS
Limiter (Bill shock), ARP (EUREG III) implementation, new
complex tariff definitions.
• The full spectrum of Computaris services included: scope &
requirements clarifications, low level design preparation,
hardware deployment and configuration, DigitalRoute platform
installation, software development and deployment, support for
UAT testing, migration strategy & planning, go live & post-go live
support, production data migration, dedicated training for the
customer’s maintenance and development teams.

• Computaris team has easily configured the necessary dictionary
which could be changed to fit our customer’s immediate, as well
as long term needs.
• Using the TOP Testing Suite Diameter client and server,
Computaris has built a simple Diameter Proxy application which
gave our client the possibility to alter messages on the fly.
• AVPs sent by GGSN that were not understood by the other
peers were deleted, their values stored and sent inside other
AVPs (equivalents of incoming AVPs, but taken from INs
dictionary).

project at T1 MNO.

• The off-line processing was handled by the FTP protocol and
the whole on-line processing was based on Diameter and a few
network elements that were sending messages over Diameter
to the mediation solution.
• Computaris had to check if all messages were being decoded
and processed in the same way on both versions of the
mediation solution. Computaris captured the traffic from all the
systems and stored it as PCAP files.
• With TTS Diameter plugin, Diameter messages from PCAP files
could be loaded directly into JMeter test plans and messages
could be created with only 5 clicks in Computaris TTS.
