VAS set and packages The platform allows to provide about 40 VAS features, which can be grouped into three main categories: Basic services : Conditional and Unconditional Call Forward, Call Hold, Call Transfer, Consultation call, Voice Mail, Speed Dial, Identity Based Access, Do Not Disturb etc. Group services : Chat Room, Call Pickup, Group Call, DISA (Direct Inward System Access), Call Queue, Call Parking etc. Special services : Follow Me, Auto attendant (IVR), Call Back, Voice Portal, Fax-to-E-mail, Auto Redial With Call Back, Call Record, Televoting etc. However, this grouping is conventional and its up to the Operator to create own VAS packages.  Moreover, some services can be provided   as standalone solutions (such as Televoting, Fax-to-Email or Softphone). VAS packages availability  doesn’t depend on the end-users communication equipment, except for several specific services, such as Video conferencing.
For non mobile carriers. MVNO. Today the market of mobile services is the fastest growing segment of telephony services. This makes it extremely attractive for carriers that operate in other segments. For those who want to penetrate into mobile market: To obtain mobile subscribers a carrier has 3 options: 1. To get an MNO (mobile network operator) license, buy and install the needed equipment and to start marketing campaign.  Why not:  VERY EXPENSIVE.  2. To become an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) without own equipment (renting all the needed equipment resources from the host provider (MVNE – mobile virtual network enabler)).
