1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Introduction: My name is Colby Holtman and Iâm the founder of Crimson Productions. Iâm
a cinematographer from Conception Junction, Missouri but have been living in the Kansas
City for the past two years. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a
bachelorâs degree in Mass Media Broadcasting and Operations. My love and passion for
videography started when I attended Missouri Boyâs State and was a part of their School of
Mass Media. I instantly fell in love and wanted to pursue this career path even further.
Since then, Iâve pushed myself to become the best videographer/cinematographer with
each passing day. With each passing day, we are making memories and I want to the
captures those special memories that will last a lifetime.
⢠Mission Statement: Our mission here at Crimson Productions is to create unique and
one-of-a-kind videos for all our clients. We utilize the latest technology and media
trends ensure that every video created is unique and fits the needs and budget of all our
clients.
⢠Vision Statement: Success to me being able to bring a smile to those by capturing their
memories that will last a lifetime. As we continue to meet new clients, we strive to form
bonds with each client because theyâre not just clients, theyâre family.
⢠Code of Ethics: Crimson Productionsâ business code of ethics is based on basic
common ethics that all companies do or should be following. These codes and policies
include but are not limited to:
o Respect for others: It is mandatory that your respect the personal space,
opinions, and privacy of all those your interaction with daily. Violence is
strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination. Please refer to out
harassment and sexual harassment policies. If a customer or worker is being
offensive, demeaning or threatening towards your or others, a report must be
filed immediately to HR or the GM. Rudeness and Dismissiveness may also be
reported if these events become frequent and or excessive.
o Integrity & Honesty: Your behavior and actions should be used to contribute
and improve the betterment the of company. I expect all employees to be
always honest and transparent. I will not tolerate deceitful or petty conduct of
any sorts. Lies, cheating and plagiarism are major red flags and can lead to
progressive discipline and possibly immediate termination based of the
damages caused.

o Justice: The decisions you make can not only affect you but others around
you. Decisions such as hiring, promoting and firing will be just and fair with
written records and examples. Favoritism, racism, sexism will never be
deciding factors for any decisions made for the company. Any acts of
discipline towards an employee will need a case prepared to take to HR.
o Lawfulness: All employees must follow all laws that apply to our
organization. Depending on certain roles and professions, there might be
various that need to be observed and noted. All contracts, clauses,
disclaimers, or online governed copies must have verification from [our legal
counsel] before finalizing. Please seek help from HRO or our legal counsel for
clarity of a law in a specific instance.
o Competence & Accountability: This is a positive, healthy work environment.
We must all put in equal amounts of work and avoid slacking off if we want to
promote the success of our organization. Incomplete work or slow working
can hinder otherâs ability work which conflicts with our respect and integrity
policies. I encourage all employees to take any opportunity for learning and
development while on the job or through training. If this is unclear, please
speak with the GM. Finally, take responsibility for your own actions. Weâre all
human and are going to make mistakes from time to time. Failing to be
accountable to for your own mistakes on a regular basis or during important
situations may result in termination. You will be in a far better place if you
take responsibility and find any solutions to fix your mistakes wherever
possible.
o Teamwork: There will be times when youâre asked to work autonomously on
your own projects, but majority of the time here will be spent collaborating
with others. In group collaborations, be open minded and willing to learn new
ideas from those around you. Donât be afraid to hesitate and ask for help when
you need it.
⢠Goals: Even though we are a small business, we still wonât let our competitors
discourage us from our love and passion for videography. The future of videography is
always going to be a mystery, but we want to continue to the grow our business and
expand from the Kansas City area until we can have multiple locations across the nation.
⢠Competition Analysis: We are considered a regionally focused business because we
want to cover events all over the state of Missouri. We donât want to specifically be
focused on one area because you must be willing to go the distance in order to be

3. MARKETING & PROMOTIONS
⢠Niche: Our target audiences consist of individuals as well as organizations that have
specific need/ service that we provide. We offer ours services to all companies
regardless of their size within the Kansas City Metro area and the state of Missouri. Our
most prominent list of customers include:

o Future brides and grooms
o Families
o Small and Large Businesses
Referring to our priceâs sheets, a lot of our prices are cheaper than other competitors
within this field of work. A lot of our work can be done easily and still meet studio grade
production work. Plus, we want our prices to be affordable for all types of potential
clients so that way we arenât breaking our bank accounts as well as our own.
⢠Strategy: Most videography businesses are seasonal or only pick and choose which
events they want to do. Being a freelance service, we plan to keep ourselves busy year-
round by covering every event that we can get our hands without spreading ourselves
too thin. Being a diverse service, we will be able to attract larger organizations. As we
continue to move forward, Crimson Productions plans to form strategic alliances with
clients who require specific freelancers to cover various events for them. We also plan
to work as a sub-contractor with other video production companies as our business
grows.

out to the general public about our business. Google search ads, Spotify ads, print ads,
etc. are going to be our best options for advertising.

either make or break our business. In order to gain publicity for our business we will
look for positive reviews, word of mouth, tagging us on all social media platforms,
earning high rankings on well-known blogs and even winning awards.

the logo that will symbolize Crimson Productions. The logo was designed in house using
