This story follows a young paranormal investigative reporter who looks into the haunting of the Black Oak Forest only to discover her roots run deeper than she thought.

2. Elena sits in her room scrolling through the internet looking
at newstories involving missing case files and "supernatural"
news stories when she comes across a missing person's article
in a paper called the Oak Haven weekly reading that a 22 year
old woman vanished into the Black Oak Forest and has been
Elena looks at the clock and notices the time read 11:30 p.m.
She shuts her computer and crawls into bed. As she drits off
into her sleep, she starts to see vivid images of fire and a
woman screaming. She panics and wakes up suddenly.

DISSOLVE TO:
Elena walks in the kicthen to see her crew sitting at the
table arguing over what story they should cover next.
Because nobody cares about some old
lady who thinks bigfoot stole her
clothes. We've done enough bigfoot
stories to the point that no one
takes us seriously.
ELENA
And good morning to you guys too!
John and Carrie stop arguing with each other long enought to
finally notice Elena.
JOHN
Elena we need you to settle this
debate for us so we can film this
weeks show. Do you want cover story
about bigfoot or an abandon asylum
that's supposedly haunted?
Elena stands facing away from them while pooring her coffee
and debated the two options before she turns around-

3. Elena pulls out her computer and pulls up the article from
the previous night and sets in fornt of John and Carrie.
Elena leans in close over the table as she summarizes the
happens to people all the time.
ELENA (CONT'D)
As I was saying, this forest is
supposedly haunted by evil spirits
of women who were accused of being
witches and burned at the stake.
Legend has it that there's this one
witch named Melinda Warren who
supposedly sold her soul to the
devil for immortallity. Now her
spirit haunts the forest.
The room sat silent for a short minute as John and Carrie sat
there at stared the computer screen.
JOHN
So you want us to drive over 5
hours away to cover a story about
some mysterious witch legend?

4. Elena puts her arms around John and Carrie and pulls them in
close, still trying to convince them both to agree to this
John and Carrie leave the room. Elena takes another drink of
her coffee and stares at news article again thinking about
CUT TO:
The gang is driving to Oak Haven. Carrie is messing with the
Camera equipment and starting to document the adventure.
(she's interrupted)
JOHN
Hey hey hey I told you to never
film me while I'm driving.
CARRIE (CONT'D)
Well someone's a little grumpy. And
we have Elena, who's.....sleepy!

The gang gets out of the car and starts unloading their gear
As John continues to film Elena and getting shots of the
town. Carrie notices an old many continue to stare them down,
giving her an unpleasent feeling. Suddenly the man starts to

OLD MAN:
The witch has returned! Get out of

(he's interrupted)
JOHN

JOHN

ELENA

6. The gang just stands there watches the many disappear around

ELENA
Hi I'm Elena. This is John and
Carrie. We're here to inestigate
the legend of the Black Oak Forest

disappearances.
Suddenly Nate's friendly smile dropped into a terrified, yet

JOHN
Hey man, are you okay?
NATE

disappeared was my fiance....
The group just stares at Nate with grief while Nate looks
away starting to tear up.

CARRIE
I think somebody's just jealous.
JOHN

ELENA

The forest if foggy and whispers echo throughout the forest.
DISSOLVE TO:
The gang is heading towards the Black Oak Forest. The gang
finally pulls up the forest and sees Nate's vehicle on the
side of the road. They get out and start unloading their

The camera pans down on the group walking down the path
documenting their adventure. (Camera cuts to a found footage
type style)
ELENA
Here we are inside the haunted

The groups keeps on walking as the camera follows from behind
until twig snaps in the distance.
CARRIE
Shhhh! Did you hear that?
JOHN
Probably just the locals trying to

The group continues to stare arounds forest.(The camera pans
around them in a circle until it stops on Elena.

10. Elena stares out in the distance and notices a shadow like

11. The two continue running until they hear a scream.
Elena takes off running until she reaching the edge of the
forest leading out into a open field. She looks over to her
left and see's Carrie and John tied to two trees. She runs

12. Nate takes the pistol and shoots a warning shot over at John.
Nate pulls out an old book from his jacket and throws it on
the ground.
NATE (CONT'D)
Many people don't know this,but
Melinda Warren gave birth to a
child before she was burned. I took
her away and hid her so nobody
could find her. So the Warren blood
line lives on. It lives in you.
CARRIE
Wait a minute, then what about all
of those disappearances?
NATE
I guess I did have a play in those

Elena is on her knees with Nate standing behind her with the
gun to her head. Meanwhile John and Carrie struggle to get

NATE

Nate aims the gun over at Carrie. Carrie begs for her life.
ELENA
Stop!.....I'll do it just don't

Elena looks down at the book and repeats the incantation as

14. As Elena says the spell hands start to aapear from around her
head that grab her and bring her down the ground. She starts
convulsing. Elena wakes up and Nate helps her up after he

Carrie and John are heading back into the Oak Haven. Carrie
takes the camera out and erases all of the footage captured.
