molécula en un compuesto específico.

H= 1.00794 lb/mol
C=12.011 lb mol
Ejemplo
C3 CnH2n+2
PROPANO C3H (2x3)+2
Para el carbono C3H8
C = (12.011*3) lb/mol
C = 36,033 lb/mol
Para el hidrogeno
H = (1,00794 * 8) lb/mol
H = 8,06352 lb/mol
C3H8 = (36,033+8,06352) lb/mol = 44,097 lb/mol

Ecuación de Estado para un Gas Ideal
Se puede llegar a una relación entre presión, volumen, temperatura y cantidad de gas
conocida como la ecuación de estado para un gas ideal y la cual presenta la siguiente
forma:
Donde ´´n´´ es el peso total de gas (W), divido por el peso molecular (Mi).
Si Definimos que densidad de un gas como el peso por unidad de volumen.
Se define como la razón de la densidad del gas a la densidad de una sustancia base, en las
mismas condiciones de presión y temperatura. Para el caso de gases, se toma el aire como
la sustancia base.
Reemplazando la ecuación para gas y aire, en las mismas condiciones de P y T, resulta:
Donde:
Mg= Es el peso molecular del gas en una mezcla de n componentes.
Ma= Es el peso molecular del aire
Ejemplo Para el Propano
MiC3= 44,0970 lb/mol yi C3 =
𝟒𝟒,𝟎𝟗𝟕𝟎 𝒍𝒃/𝒎𝒐𝒍
𝟐𝟖,𝟗𝟔𝟐𝟓 𝒍𝒃/𝒎𝒐𝒍
= 1.5226
