I began with the Fairfield, PA plant, a 425 employees full-service book manufacturer of trade, college and
professional books and specialty educational textbooks. I transferred to the York, PA division in 2015 – a 185
employee / 200K sq. ft. division that specialized in laser-lettershop, direct mail printing & distribution. Both plants
are divisions of the international, $4.8B Sales print & marketing services provider. Quad/Graphics continues to
acquire and consolidate, resulting in the closure of the York division.
Quality Assurance Auditor & Technician
• Key and contributing member of the Quality team – partnering with customers, vendors, production
leaders, operators and assemblers – ensuring quality consistency and that the customers’ standards
are beingmet.
• Foster and apply Continuous Process Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles, including
Kaizen, GEMBA Walks, Kanban, Six Sigma methods) to minimize errors, improve efficiencies, reduce
costs andimprove profits.
• Led “War Room” events and meetings to improve communications (including creating informative
Visual Boards),fosterteam-work,minimizethe chancesforhumanandmechanical errors.
• Apply Q/A auditing methods including data-entry, analysis and reporting using MS Excel and other
Business Data Management systems (SAP) to schedule, manage inventory, analyze costs and

• Pull Samples / Hourly Pulls - Check accuracy and defects such as color variation, registration,
crossovers, bleeds, trim, fold, inserting, embossing, labelling and inserting issues – particularly
challenging when working with a wide range of adhesives holding credit cards and other
promotional gimmicks.
