NCM purchases and services both secured and unsecured bankruptcy claims, of all maturities, from credit issuers in a
broad range of industries. NCM invests in these bankruptcy-impaired assets through portfolio acquisitions and forward
flow relationships. Each account, whether purchased or serviced, benefits from NCM's recovery-oriented approach to
asset management.
As the Director of Operations for National Capital Management, I was charged with overseeing many aspects of the company.
In that capacity I helped NCM become a front-runner in the debt purchasing industry. This was accomplished through:
• Developing detailed administrative and procedural processes to improve efficiency
• Designing specialized spreadsheets to improve inventory management and tracking
• Documenting process flows and developing requirements for functional improvements
• Providing solutions that led to system improvements of Corpnet (NCM’s proprietary software)
• Standardizing filing systems to increase accuracy of records
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of records
• Recruiting and hiring of new staff
• Communicating with customers, employees, and courts to answer questions and explain policy
• Implementing federal court mandated transition from hard-copy documentation to digital
• Complying with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Successfully bringing the operations department through the transition of filing individual claims to BOT (batch)
filing of claims
• Resolving communication issues between departments as primary internal liaison
• Maintaining clarity of goals and adherence to deadlines
