The excretory system removes liquid waste from the body through two kidneys that filter blood, ureters that transport urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder, a bladder that stores urine, and a urethra that empties the bladder.
2. Kidneys
• They are two, one left kidney and one right
kidney.
• They remove wastes from the blood (filters)
blood through nephrons.
3.
4.
5. Ureters
• They are very thin tubes that come out of
each kidney to connect kidneys with the
urinary bladder.
• Urine passes through the ureters to reach the
urinary bladder
6.
7. Urinary Bladder
• It is a sac, that stores urine (till it is time for
you to go to the bathroom).
8.
9. Urethra
• It is an opening in the urinary bladder, where
urine passes when your bladder is full.
