Rationale:
I have decided to use this idea for my project as it is original and not been used before. It is made
up of two ides that I had, for this idea the audience will be taken on walks through haunted parts of
York and told ghost stories about the area and will also be taken to certain cafes which are along
the walk, some of the cafes may be haunted or have a ghost story to tell. There will be a range of
walks and stories to tell the audience, and this will include walking through famous places in York
like the Shambles.
Project Concept:
The concept of this project is to make a fun and productive activity for people aged 18-24 to do
while in York. I will be creating a piece of footage to advertise my idea, but I will also be creating
an app to help with the advertisement and for the audience to use when doing the activity. It is to
make something that is enjoyable and entertaining for them as York is commonly known as an
area for sightseeing and a place for older generations to look round because of the attractions and
sights that are known in York. I will conduct research such as the statistics of how many young
adults go to cafes and the statistics of young adults who enjoy ghost stories and haunted places. I
will also conduct research such as which café shops are better for young adults and which ones
they would prefer to go to based on the products, appearance and pricing. I will also research
travel prices and what types of travel the age group would take and weather it would be easy for
some or not. I will also research stories to incorporate to the project and what trails the audience
could take.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I plan to evaluate my work based on how it turned out, if I had enough time to complete it to a high
standard and if it was successful or not based on how my original plan was. I will evaluate the
overall look, style and if my plan was good or not.
