2. Leeds Beckett University
• I went to Leeds Beckett University to look at their Filmmaking course as that is
something I am very interested in, and is also one of my top choice for
university's I would like to go to. I liked the topics that they said they would cover
throughout the three years which would include group work, short films, film
studies and much more. The University itself is rated one of the best for that
course which is why I would like to go there. I also like the fact that they can let
you work with other companies such as Netflix, BBC and a lot more other
companies that specialise in filmmaking. They gave us a tour of the facilities that
are available at the university, and also the set designs that you could create and
design for your own pieces of work for major projects and also projects that
include group work.
3. Aesthetica Film Festival
• Aesthetica film festival is a showing of short films set with different
genres that had won competitions to be shown at the festival as they
were the best in their category. Each short film lasted 15 minutes and
they showed 6 altogether. I went to watch comedies and animation,
my personal favourites were in the comedy genre as I found them
creative and funny. I enjoyed the animation genre but some of them
weren’t as good as others but that was because I didn’t personally
enjoy them as ,much as others, some where more factual than
others, and some were just funny childish animations.
