• Management of national rollout of leading edge digital audio recording service across
all Criminal Courts in England and Wales. Completed in 12 months rather than
originally stated 24.
• Following lengthy and difficult contract negotiation and requirement gathering,
responsible for high speed delivery of CONFIDENTIAL network across the Ministry
of Justice
• Delivery of upgraded Telephony infrastructure across Barclaycard business units
completed 4 months ahead of schedule to allow VOIP programme to commence.
• Successful amalgamation and restructuring of three different technical teams to
provide a highly responsive and proactive group of twenty individuals crossing skill
sets. This allowed rapid creation of virtual project teams to accelerate delivery.

Atos – May 2008 - Present
Portfolio Manager (Department of Health)
• Reporting to Programme Director, responsible for a wide portfolio of projects and
programmes and business office functions.
• Portfolio includes:
o Application transformation – moving development and support from
incumbent supplier to Atos
o Application development and re-platforming
o Office moves and closures
o Desktop Rollout to over NHS England’s 6000+ users
o Creation of next generation DH wide shared infrastructure platform.
• Budget totalling in excess of £40m
• Overall responsibility for Business Office function, requiring day-to-day management
and reporting on contract and solution status.
• Responsible for a team of 15 Programme/Project Managers
• Carrying out when required the role of Programme Director
Programme Manager (Ministry of Justice)
• Key role in procurement process to select vendor of Digital Audio Recording solution
to Criminal Courts across the United Kingdom
• Direct responsibility for National Rollout of Digital Audio Recording solution to
Criminal Courts across the United Kingdom with a budget in excess of £15m
• Overall responsibility for projects involving CONFIDENTIAL infrastructure delivery
and the Royal Courts of Justice within the Ministry of Justice.
• Involved in contract negotiations for a new CONFIDENTIAL infrastructure required
by the Ministry of Justice. Required management of numerous individual groups to
agree a contract in excess of £2million. This was followed by the successful delivery of
this contract.
• Responsible for developing and delivering communication and training for the new
desktops and applications being delivered into the Royal Courts of Justice
• Required management of Third Party vendors and Internal technical teams estimate
creation to provide costs for their deliverables and guarantees of resource availability
for the full lifecycle of the programme.
SQS UK Limited – July 2007 – May 2008
Programme Manager – Testing (Barclays)
• Overall responsibility for Testing and Release Management for a Programme to
deliver a strategic Loans platform for Barclays.
• Production of Programme Wide Test Strategy and Approach, detailing the Systems
under test, Governance to be followed, agreed terminology and phase definition by all
technical teams and Third Party Suppliers
• Creation / Base lining and Maintenance of the Testing Project Plan, to be fed into the
overall programme plan. Agreeing with internal and external teams, such things as
delivery of Test environments, resource availability etc.
• Matrix Management of numerous technical teams and direct management of 4
managers, who manage 50+ team members.
• Management of Stakeholders at Project Board level ensuring accurate picture of
Testing across Technical and Business units was represented.
• Resource Mobilisation across multiple third party suppliers bringing in SME (Subject
Matter Experts) to quickly progress the production of Key Testing deliverables.
Barclaycard, Northampton – May 2001 – March 2002
Xansa (BXP), Northampton – March 2002 – July 2007
(Barclaycard outsourced IT delivery to Xansa; hence the change of employer)
Project Manager
• Managed a project through to completion of the design to provide a complete
hardware and software refresh of Barclaycard International’s Internet Infrastructure.
• Delivered the application development deliverable for a Barclaycard Collections
project. Responsible for the managing the delivery of dev, test and live application
configuration, alongside application interaction with other host systems.
• Management of software uplift of Meridian switches, Symposium and Genesis across
all Call Centres. Nine month delivery was carried out in five months.
• Implemented high profile project to allow ‘from anywhere access’ to Directors
Intranet. Responsible for controlling implementation and resulting warranty issues.
• Managed a team of eight responsible for delivery of 350 file transfers. Needed
extensive planning to throughout lifecycle (design, testing, implementation,
warranty) to ensure code produced was fit for purpose.
• Involved in initiation and bid creation for Barclaycard International’s Data Centre
move project. Workshops organised and run with technical teams to understand
detail/risk/issues behind business requirements.
Unix Projects Team Leader
• Head of team that provided Unix and Tivoli solutions to all BXP customers. Team
also provided Microsoft deliverable to Barclaycard International business unit.
• Team was also responsible for the delivery and maintenance of Tivoli Infrastructure.
• Provided forecasting of resource requirements for current and future pipeline.
• Ensured team’s skill base is sufficient to meet future project requirements.
• Provided technical input into project estimating and planning.
• Creation and production of standardized documentation on operating system builds,
batch automation implementation and Service Gateway (BAU Handover).

Senior Network Technician/IP Services Team Leader
• Assigned to/then head of IP Services team responsible for providing services such as
DNS, DHCP and Proxy services to internal and external customers.
• Technical Project Management of IP Services (DHCP/DNS) rollout across EMEA.
• Remote build and configuration of RS6000 AIX based servers throughout EMEA.
• Heavily involved in design work for the next generation of IP Services and the

SQS UK Limited – July 2007 – May 2008 Programme Manager – Testing (Barclays) • Overall responsibility for Testing and Release Management for a Programme to deliver a strategic Loans platform for Barclays. • Production of Programme Wide Test Strategy and Approach, detailing the Systems under test, Governance to be followed, agreed terminology and phase definition by all technical teams and Third Party Suppliers • Creation / Base lining and Maintenance of the Testing Project Plan, to be fed into the overall programme plan. Agreeing with internal and external teams, such things as delivery of Test environments, resource availability etc. • Matrix Management of numerous technical teams and direct management of 4 managers, who manage 50+ team members. • Management of Stakeholders at Project Board level ensuring accurate picture of Testing across Technical and Business units was represented. • Resource Mobilisation across multiple third party suppliers bringing in SME (Subject Matter Experts) to quickly progress the production of Key Testing deliverables. Barclaycard, Northampton – May 2001 – March 2002 Xansa (BXP), Northampton – March 2002 – July 2007 (Barclaycard outsourced IT delivery to Xansa; hence the change of employer) Project Manager • Managed a project through to completion of the design to provide a complete hardware and software refresh of Barclaycard International’s Internet Infrastructure. • Delivered the application development deliverable for a Barclaycard Collections project. Responsible for the managing the delivery of dev, test and live application configuration, alongside application interaction with other host systems. • Management of software uplift of Meridian switches, Symposium and Genesis across all Call Centres. Nine month delivery was carried out in five months. • Implemented high profile project to allow ‘from anywhere access’ to Directors Intranet.
