SELECTED CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
• Programme managed the delivery of the Tescocompare.com car insurance comparison website and was involved in the full
lifecycle of this complex programme from initiation (“the idea”) to completion (“national launch”), serving 300,000
customers.
• Successfully managed the infrastructure merger of three banking entities, Coutts & Co, Coutts UK and Adam & Co into a
single entity called RBS Coutts. Managed all technical aspects of rebranding the business and co-ordinated teams in
England, Scotland and Switzerland.
• Managed a team of Project Managers, Architects and Technicians for Thomson Reuters delivering a £9.8 million global real
time service called Electron delivering real-time market data from global exchange centres to trading clients. Liaised with
global implementation teams across EMEA, Asia and the U.S to deliver the necessary infrastructure and capacity.
• Successfully managed the implementation of three new Payments Reporting, Sales Reporting and Ticket Inquiry application
solutions, across multiple platforms, for the Thomson Reuters Legal Business affecting 1,500 U.S based Sales Reps. I also
managed the migration of all users from the old systems to the new solutions.

• Implemented three new Payments Reporting, Sales Reporting and Ticket Inquiry application solutions across multiple
Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) platforms. Managed the migration of 1,500 Legal
Commissions Sales Reps from their old system onto the new solutions.
• Consolidated the billing systems of two legal entities in Uruguay into a single billing system on the SAP platform.
• My main achievement was the co-ordination of resources across multiple time-zones who in some cases did not speak the
same language and successfully delivered the projects on time.

• Worked for a number of high profile consultancy clients including Lloyds Banking Group, Thomson Reuters & International
Financial Data Services (IFDS).
• Managed a programme for International Financial Data Services (IFDS) which adopted IBM’s Integrated Pureflex technology
& introduced Cloud Management IT services (SmartCloud Orchestrator & Endpoint Administrator).
2. • Delivered a programme for Lloyds Banking Group achieving a 10% reduction in the number of UAT and SIT testing outages
following the divestment of TSB. Also implemented a new Recovery Management service for managing issues during key
testing phases of the Lloyds TSB divestment.
• Instigated 24x7 Tivoli alerting solutions and security break glass controls; implemented governing boards to control and co-
ordinate the delivery of application code and infrastructure configuration changes.
• Implemented new operational processes to provide end-to-end ownership through the solution build and testing lifecycles.
• Led a team of Project Managers, Architects and Technicians at Thomson Reuters delivering a new global real-time service
providing market data between global stock exchanges and trading clients.
• Worked closely with regional implementation teams in Asia, America and Europe, organising new infrastructure builds and
capacity upgrades to successfully deliver a $9.8 million business critical programme.

Private Bank owned by Royal Bank of Scotland
• Managed a two-year programme delivering end user platform, network, telephony and email re-branding enabling RBS
Coutts & Co. to migrate their UK based wealth systems to Switzerland.
• Delivered infrastructure to support the migration of over twenty banking systems to Switzerland.
• Delivered end user computing capability for desktop application, voice, printing and security solutions to 5,800 staff
operating in 50 UK locations.
• Managed the analysis, scoping, design and implementation of a new network infrastructure capable of handling 200%
additional load, and re-branding of 4,800 staff from 3 organisations (Coutts & Co, RBS Coutts and Adam & Co to a new
single email domain name.
• Held direct budget responsibility for £4m and reporting responsibilities for the programme's £20m total budget.
• Provided weekly reporting and progress updates to the CEO of RBS Coutts Wealth Management.
• Interfaced with other large internal optimisation and rationalisation programmes in order to drive out early benefits and
mitigate impact.

• Relocated and upgraded the company's online internet banking system and their global client management system to the
latest supported versions of software and hardware.
• Delivered new infrastructure technology and application software to support the business growth projections for the

technology, a previously abandoned delivery due to the complexity of the solution.

• Managed the implementation of required infrastructure and services to support RBS entry into the car insurance online
comparison market via tescocompare.com.
• Liaised with a number of major insurance brands to integrate their business systems into the RBS platform.
• Managed the full lifecycle of the infrastructure stream for this major £130m programme; successfully delivered the
infrastructure against an aggressive eleven month launch schedule.
• Co-located all of the infrastructure, application and business project teams into a single office r to facilitate a more efficient
and collaborative delivery environment while fostering strong cross-divisional working relationships.

• Managed a monthly rolling release based programme delivering product and system functionality changes for RBS
insurance subsidiaries such as Direct Line, Tesco Personal Finance, Churchill and Privilege.
• Managed a team of ten project managers, some of whom were part of an IBM managed service, delivering multiple
monthly projects across twenty separate Insurance Products.
• Undertook weekly engagements with representatives from the various businesses to discuss and assist in the prioritisation
of their requirements.
• Deployed more than 40 product & function changes in the space of 12 months.
