4. at the same time… wave your hands (I will model all the movement using Sam´s body) close your
eyes, open your mouth, cross your legs, nod your head, fold your arms….”
“Excellent! Now… look! (I will show them different –separate- parts of a schoolgirl puppet) “This is
Molly but I could not finish her… can you help me ?”... I will put each part of her body on the floor
and I will sing …“Dear Manu, Dear Manu, find herhead, find her head–to the tune of “Fray
Santiago”(if he doesn´t remember the word I will point at my face while I sing my request again) ,
Once Manu gives me Molly´s head, I will sing”Thank you very much, thank you very much, now sit
down, now sit down”.
Then I will ask another part to another kid and I will encourage them to sing with me. For example
Teacher:Dear Toto
Kids:Dear Toto
Teacher: bring her neck.
Kids:bring her neck
When he brings me the neck, I will show them how to jointhe head and the neck together (by
showing them a Velcro closure included at the end of each part of its body) and I will encourage
them to join the song again
Teacher: Thank you very much
Kids:thank you very much
Teacher: now sit down
Kids: now sit down
I will ask different kids to pick up and join the other parts of the body until I cover, mixing the
vocabulary they knew with new vocabulary items. If I know that we are dealing with a new
vocabulary item , I´ll make sure that they can all listen to the word and understand its meaning ,
for example, I will say “Look , this is Sam´s chest (pointing at it),touch your chest, very good” and
then I will go back to the song .
Comentario [A4]: Head is a new vocabulary
item. They might need more exposure.
Comentario [A5]: Right. You will have to show
them.
5. (More) independent Practice (8’). Production.
I will hand out a white paper with the shape of a body and I will place some boxes with crayons in
the middle of the circle. Then, I will encourage the kids by saying“Let´s create a monster!“ (Miming
a monster). I will have my own white paper (bigger, so that I can model the activity) and I will give
one to Miss Ceci too. Then, I will explain “draw what I say, for example, three (miming the
number) eyes(pointing at Sam´s eyes) and I will draw three eyes on my own piece of paper and
show them to the kids while I repeat “THREE EYES”. I will check if they could all understand and I
will continue giving instructions, “one ear”, “four arms”, “one leg”, always miming the number,
pointing at each part of the body and checking if all the kids are being able to follow the
instructions.
Closure (2’)
I will say “wow, your monsters are great! (miming, thumbs up). Let´s put them all together inside
the box(showing them a box and doing the same with my own drawing) we will use them again
next time.
“Now , you will go outside to play. Let´s sing the goodbye song together!”
We will all sing “this is the way we say goodbye, this is the way we say goodbye, see you on
Thursday” (this song is part of their routine with Miss Ceci)

Comentario [A6]: If they use crayons and want
to erase what they do, they won`t be able to do so.
Probably using pencils would be more practical.
Comentario [A7]: The idea of creating a
monster has little connection with the previous
activity. You should somehow relate them. Maybe
you can show the students a monster that Sam and
Molly have created, and describe that monster with
the students` help. And after that, they might create
their own monster.
Comentario [A8]: How will you check
understanding?
Comentario [A9]: Will you ask them to write
their names on those sheets of paper?

Dear Gabriela,
Lovely ideas. As far as we can see, you are a crafty lady.
Have a look at the comments, so as to polish some details before delivering the lesson. Please
complete the information at the beginning of the lesson plan in further submissions – you can
