Clase 1:
Routine: 5´
Purpose: to start the lesson, get students into mood for work,
establish rapport.
I´ll get into the classroom and greet students: “Hello! How are you
today?” EA: “Hello!”

Warm-up 5´:
Purpose: to introduce the topic and teaching points.
Now I ´ll use a puppet to catch students’ attention. The puppet will say:
“It is my head, it is my arm, and it is my leg! Ohhhh It is my body!!!
Now, look! These are the body parts! (Pointing to a poster that will be
stuck on the board) “Ana, point a body part, please” Oh, great! It is a
hand! The puppet will participate during this activity.
The poster will be in the classroom, so they can look at it as many times
as they want. (it is just an example of the poster)
Transition: “The puppet wants to dance and sing…Do you want to
dance and sing?” The teacher mimes the actions moving the body and
saying something like “lalalalaaaaa”.
Presentation 10´:
Purpose: to further exposure the learners to the target language,
to foster comprehension of a song and a video.
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WX8HmogNyCY
Let´s watch the animals dancing! Come on! Let´s make a circle!
Are you ready to dance and sing? Yeeeees!!!
With this video students will mime the song and at the same time they
are watching and listening to it.
I will dance to encourage them to follow the choreography. They will
5. watch the video once, then I will continue dancing and singing another
time without the video to focus their attention on the body parts.
Transition: After singing and dancing: “All together, Point to your
head!” Great job kids!
Development 15´:
Purpose: this activity is aimed at fostering contextualized practice
of the teaching points.
I will give each student body parts trimmings to create a monster. They
will stick and draw to create a monster. It is a funny activity for most of
the kids!
I will distribute a picture of an empty body and some parts of the body
like eyes, noses, mouths, etc.
The copy will be something like this:
Each student has their own body so I start the activity. “The monster
has got three eyes” so they have to stick or draw in the case they don't
have any picture of an eye. Perhaps they have only one so they must
complete the two others with their own drawings. Then, “My monster
has got six ears” and they continue drawing and sticking them. These
sentences will be repeated till I finish with all the given parts.
After finishing the activity they share the final results with their mates.
Probably, they will laugh about their funny monsters!
6. With this activity students revise the numbers since they have to stick
specific number of body parts”
Students will receive the necessary support and guidance in the case
they don´t remember the vocabulary. I will use my body language and
gestures to help them. Moreover, they have the visual support of the
poster on the wall.
Transition: “Oh fantastic Monster! Very well done!
Closure 5´: “Well my dear, it´s time to go home. Let´s sing the song to
say goodbye”. Students are invited to sing the goodbye song after
tidying their bags and chairs.

8. I´ll get into the classroom and greet students: “Hello! How are you
today?” EA: “Hello!”
I´ll ask students to sit in a circle on the floor and we´ll sing the usual
welcome song.
Now it´s time to say Hello! Say hello! Say hello!
Now it´s time to say hello! Hello, everyone (x2)
“Puppet wants to revise the song, Let´s help them”
I´ll invite children to sing the body parts song they learnt last class:
“Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes. (x2) And eyes, and
ears and mouth and nose. Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and
toes.” (then, faster)
Transition: Well done kids!
Warm-up 5´:
“Look! What is Puppet doing?” (It is moving a hand) “Is he touching is
head? NOOOOO! He is moving his RIGHT hand!”
“Yes! This is the RIGHT hand and this is the LEFT hand!!!”
“Come on, all together! RAISE your RIGHT hand”. (I´ll show them the
mimicmovement)
Now, RAISE your LEFT hand”.
Transition: Very good kids! Try again!
Presentation 5´:
I´ll stick a twister game on the floor and say: “What is it Puppet? This is
a game! The Twister game!”
T: “What colour is it?
S: It is blue!
T: And this?
S: It is red!
T: Very well!”
9. “Look at my hand, is this my right or left hand?, what about my foot?
Right or left foot?
“Right foot red! ohhhh jaaj” (I am showing them)
Development 20´:
Activity 1, 15´:
Students can play in teams, two at a time or all at once. I´ll arrange the
colour cards on the floor. I´ll call out “LEFT foot, red! RIGHT hand green.
And so on. The students are not allowed to have any part of their bodies
touching the floor but their hands and feet. If they fall over, they are out.
The last student standing is the winner.
This game works with colours and at the same time includes the
direction “right and left”.
We have to encourage those shy kids to participate. If someone is
wrong with a colour or an instruction we can make a gesture to help
him/her.
Transition: “Great job kids” How funny! Ok, now let´s make a circle on
the floor!
They will be probably exhausted, so they´ll have a minute to calm down
their anxiety and recover their breathing.
10. Activity 2, 5´:
I´ll show students a big colorful dice and different body parts. The dice
has a right and left word written oin each site. The body parts will be
mixed on the floor. Previously, I stick a big piece of paper on the board
with a right and left side. I´ll invite students to participate. “Let´s stick
the body parts, but first roll the dice” Look at me! Like this, yes”. After
they roll the dice I´ll say: “Juan, stick a HEAD on the RIGHT side”, for
example. I´ll help students as they stick the pictures.
This activity will help students to revise the parts of the body and to
recognize the right and the left side.
Closure 5´:
I´ll invite students to tidy their school objects and sing the “goodbye
song” “Well my dear students, it´s time to go home. Let´s tidy our bag”
11. Great job, now Let´s sing the goodbye song”.
Now it´s time to say goodbye! Say goodbye! Say goodbye!
Now it´s time to say goodbye! Goodbye, everyone (x2)
