Calum planned and evaluated several photographs for a music magazine advertisement. The photographs included close-up shots of microphones, group shots against graffiti backgrounds, and portraits with hoods and hand gestures. For each photo, Calum described the composition decisions, intended meanings, and evaluations of quality and suitability for the magazine. Some photos leaked color into the background or had low quality, so Calum determined they may need to be re-taken to improve the final magazine production.

I want to represent youth in the
magazine in a good way and show
how hip hop is represented and
challenge it
The picture is very good
quality however the image
may not be able to be used
as the white background
and white hoodie has
leaked into on another due
to the placement of the
lighting.
This image may have to be
retaken to avoid the image
leaking into the

The prop I used to represent hip hop and
music in general I also decided the angle
and camera shot used in the photo.
This image puts all focus on the
microphone making the focus on the
microphone a clear indicator of the
magazine genre.
The photo is not very good
quality as suposse to some
of the other images on the
magazine
I may have to redo this
image if i use it on my
magazines cover or
contents

I had to decide on the models pose and
where their hand and arm was
positioned, I also decided on the angle
and shot I used.
This shows a steriostype that guns are
associated with hip hop music and
that hip hop is aggresive music.

like others leaked into the
background

images as it leaks into the
back ground and cannot be
cropepd.
